Wow! This looked like so much fun! Ugh. Of course it happens after I moved FROM the “A”. 🙃 Oh well, keep spinning and making the world a giant house party, Louie! 👍🎶😎
I hate I missed this event with all my soul. This would have been the ultimate House music experience for me. I used to live there back in the early to mid 90’s. I used to go to this event called 2nd Saturdays at the original now defunct Earwax Records location on Peachtree st. If you don’t know about it ask somebody. It was like the Mecca for House music for me but this right here would have been soul heaven. I’m quite sure some of the original heads from that era were out there on this day. Thanks for capturing this. Maybe I’ll make it to House in the park in the near future.
Am glad Atlanta knows the difference between Puerto Ricans and other Latinos am not knocking anyone but we in there . Louie Vega Bronx NYC and Atlanta showed up in full force . Atlanta the new House Mecca .
@@justiceguru100 there's no color in house its Universal tell me who are the creators of house , I guess I have records that are older than you so house is a black thing . be open .
I think some of those tracks were blends he did onsite. If you listen to his mix at 52:00 the instrumental playing was a Brian Jackson transitioning out but the Acapella playing is unknown (to me). Then he transitioned into another song that sounded like a dub version with who sounds like Josh Milan singing and I couldn’t identify that one either. These could be upcoming tracks to be released at a later date..

It has grown through the years. There are local gatherings with the biggest being House in the Park Atlanta every Sunday before Labor day. More people have moved here through the years from other parts of the country that brought the love of house music with them. Check out some of my videos on my channel for House in the Park.
I wish I could plug directly into the system with a sound recorder but; I would miss the excitement of the crowd. I'm working on improving live audio recording.
I miss the street jams growing up in NYC…Atlanta turning it out 🔥🔥🔥 I wish they would have a block party here in Orlando…when it comes to House Music…this city sucks.
Atlanta has been building a House Music scene for a minute. More people moving from other places that had the House Music. Atlanta did not start the music scene like Rap and RnB but over the years a lot of artist have come out of Atlanta.
@@Sedricbphotography I guess. I've seen plenty of videos from "House Music" events in ATL... they're cool, but I'm old skool East Coast who ACTUALLY DANCED in Paradise Garage, Better Days, Catacombs (Philly), Zanzibar, The Shelter, Club Vinyl among others - for years - not just "I went one time now I'm the Shit...". Again, it's Kool, just not for me I guess...🤷
@@DerrickLanders-nt3tg got you, the venues are legendary for house music. That we don’t have. It is more of small clubs and one event that is major every year. House in the Park Atlanta every Sunday before Labor Day.
@@Sedricbphotography Yes, that was my point. And to be fair, in 2024 there aren't too many places on the whole that bring that vibe. Keep doing what you're doing and you'll achieve what you desire! P.S. and F.Y.I. Most of those iconic dance and music venues pre-dated "House Music" as we know it today. For instance - the Garage, Loft, Zanzibar, Better Days, Catacombs - were plying NYC underground music, Disco, European EDM (such as "Disco Circus " by Martin Circus, "Yello" by Bostich, "Dirty Talking" by Klein & MBO), Sounds of Philly, etc in the mid to late 70's...this music was also being played in Chicago by Ron Hardy and the WBMX DJ'S..."House Music" is based on these sounds. For example: "Go Bang" by Dinosaur pre-dates House Music, "Love Sensation" by Loletta Holloway pre-dates House Music, "Jingo" by Candido, "Love Money"" by Funk Masters, "Hopscotch" by Gwen Gutherie, "Moody" by ESG and so many others - pre-date "House Music", but people lump it in under that tag. If you want to be that "DJ", know the difference and you'll gain all the respect in the world from us OG's!😊
Come on Atlanta you could not find the greatest DJ a place to spin the magic in a night club? What a shame……. Louie next time come back to NYC or hell should have at least gone to Chicago.
It is a catch 22 with one camera. He was the artist at the time and I wanted to get him mostly because he was rare to be here in Atlanta. The sound would not been improved due to the camera I was using. It was a sacrifice, move farther away from the speakers but not be close enough to get the audience at the front that had the most action. You should watch some of my other videos, of house music that I'm out with the crowd on my channel. One thing about the crowd is, you get to here the crowd. It is a catch 22 with some people just capturing the music only but no crowd noise.
