You don' need no stinkin' speed-binders when you can move that quickly. I was picturing Popeye right after eating a giant can of spinach ugugugug (that was supposed to be the Popeye laugh).
Tree impossible? Don't think I have enough machine to move it? It's amazing what a good opperatior with a dry sense of humour can achieve. Rock on Bro, love your work.
That sure looks like good dirt. In the north Texas area we have black gumbo. That's black clay, when it is wet and you try to dig in it you get as much dirt stuck to the back of a shovel as the front. When it is dry it;s like digging in cement. Not the best dirt.
Random trees zero, Dirt Perfect for the win folks! Great job Mike, the mighty JD 120 still has the will to prevail, and to WIN. Work safe, stay warm, Happy New Year! Doug@ the "ranch"
“Ain’t no thang!” after all! We have monster sycamores here too. Some of their roots are 2’ in diameter. Fortunately they are soft, brittle and rot really quickly. Sycamore wood is light weight, straight grained and dries quickly. It was traditionally used to make crates. We used to have two explosive factories here. Sawmills would supply truckloads of sycamore logs to make TNT 🧨 crates... When they changed to cardboard, one guy built a house out of old dynamite crates... other than that, you couldn’t give away sycamore wood. That was in the 1970’s. Since then they’ve grown unmolested. Looking across the creek bottom, out my front window, I can see half a dozen that are over 4’ diameter. Tornadoes break a few limbs off but never seem to uproot them. Always wondered what it would take to knock one over. Thanks to you I know!
Should have had the good captain knock some limbs off the Sycamore tree, with the dump truck. Then the Deere might have been able to get it out of the hole by itself. Great video Mike.
You are top notch in your area! I follow most.. but would rather see your posts above the others. Of course Kleeman's waywhathuh? Channel is pretty much what I time in for!
Mike give the camera to Chris more often then he won't be in so much of a hurry, did the sycumore go to Wade at all. I can see why you and Chris get on has the same sense of humour as you have a great New Years party.
When you get a new one it'll be nice and comfortable but it want be the 120 and you'll never get the hr.s out of it you have out of the 120. It's a shame JD don't make them liké that anymore. Wish you the best. New year! Enjoyed your video as always
So deceiving - from one angle the tree doesn't look that big, from another angle, it looks huge! Weird what cameras do to perspective like that. I'm sure Chris is very happy he can get around his ground easier now! Those little things turn out to be big pains in the butt. Thanks for the video! HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and yours!
Man you're really working on my kind of projects here lately (won't tell anybody every farmer should have an excavator of some size ) a hoe with a hydraulic thumb is an amazing piece of equipment!! Can't wait to see what your new machine is !! Thanks for the video !
Chris sure is late harvesting his corn. 😉 Perhaps a mention of the date might be nice so cold climate people like me don’t get confused about how nice it is in Southeastern Indiana. Sycamore trees seem like a very deep rooted stringy fiberous tree that ain’t no tree Andrew Camarata ever faced.
Chris Tempel I figured as much that’s why I gave the winky face. I mentioned a while back that Mike was lucky to still have shirt sleeve weather or the trees were still so green and he replied that the video was 2 months old.
Chris I couldn’t agree with you more on straight rows. I’m like you why the f did they farm around them Little Rock’s so many years. I like your style and Mike’s work makes it come to fruition. Happy New Year
You need a chainsaw holster on the doorpost of your excavator. I would probably dig a deep enough hole to bury that stump and let it compost in the ground. It will feed that corn for several years. Looks like that soil could use some nutrients . The topsoil looks okay though. We grow things in a lot worse soil here in eastern Utah. Some of the highest yields per acre of rocks anywhere!!
Score another victory for D P and the j d 120. I have to say I have developed a attachment to the ol girl just watching her on utube. I swear it's gonna be hard seeing her in the back of office lot, alone, with new shiny kid on the block taking all the gravy jobs. To add to the pain it will probably be a foreigner with a name I can't even pronounce. Need to at least give her a semi retirement video or something. Man Mikey whers
Dirt Perfect lol just kiddin with you brother . You got pretty good following here I s.e ky. There is 5 of us eating lunch here watching the cistern installation vid. Thanks for keeping us eductatrd on things. As well as entertaining.lol.
an emty trailer that hole means nothing, ether you have a 1/4 of the far in side time on the ground or it just skid over on the i-beam frame,, no biggy, hell i use to push loaded pulp truck over holes with a D7 or 8, i take it your new fancy binder dont cut it, your back using old trusty, well i wouldnt like caring a drill batterys and charger, and an inverter around just to put binders on
WOW that bridge was pretty narrow ! What was it rated for ?? We have a few bridges like that around here and I don't like crossing them ...one in particular has become very eroded.... and the sides are washing away and yet the county says it's okay ? LOLOL...
Nice video obviously as you said last night from more than a few weeks ago. Thanks for posting, better later than never. If you had had the speed binders and short chains you might not have had to use the time warp. Happy New Year.
So you had to give Chris $500 to have all that fun? Most of the subscribers to your's and Chris Guins' channels and others like them, would pay twice that in a heartbeat to play with an excavator all day. :-) Hmmm.... maybe not if they had to pay serious money to buy the excavator in the first place.
Why in the hell don't they pay you to just take all the brush down and get that land back? Makes no sense to encourage a wet spot. Put the rock in a deeper hole and give it some base and the rock ain't a problem for twenty years before it works its way to the top. Some people kids
what date did you actually do this ? NO WHERE IN MO THIS YEAR HAS IT EVER BEEN THAT DRY THAT BIG TREE REMINDS ME OF A LITTLE COTTONWOOD I TOOK OUT IT WAS ABOUT 5 FOOT THROUGH USED 955 AND D4 CAT GOT IT DOWN THEN HAD TO BUILD A RAMP TO WALK IT UP OUT OF HOLE ENDED UP WITH HOLE BIG ENOUGH TO PUT A HOUSE IN ENJOY THE DRY PERFECT DIRT
This video was recorded before I received the speed binders
Dirt Perfect I was about to comment on that. You are lucky you pinned this haha
I thought the drill batree was dead lol
lol nope
Lol Brian

Yes it is it’s been a good one
Hey the let's dig vids on how to fight with trees comes in handy. Lol

Yup still love the old 120 thanks Doug

Thanks jd
Well done. Very much enjoy your videos. Thank you

Them trees love the lower areas around. Here

Good thing Chris knows the Perfect guy to call.

Should have had the good captain knock some limbs off the Sycamore tree, with the dump truck. Then the Deere might have been able to get it out of the hole by itself. Great video Mike.

Lol yes I. Am
That tree doesn’t look too big at all for that machine. I guess I’m used to over working my stuff ha. Good vid
You never know how big a rock is going to be. Nice little shortcut between fields.
Very true and thanks
Still not using the new binder tie downs
This video we recorded before I had them

barry hansen maybe same sense of humor but same work ethic, 100% wide open moving forwards!!
Its a darn shame yoh couldnt transplant that cedar tree. Its sure is a pretty old tree. Wheres those fancy new binders you had at? God bless buddy
Tree was in bad shape and this was before I had the new binders
Corn husk Chris all happy now ;)

No thank you, one of my favorite channels in 2019, usually my 2 year old Mr. Wyatt falls asleep watching one of your videos.

pretty brave of you driving across that narrow bridge with you loaded rig.
It’s rated for it 🤷♂️
Man as a farmer I never understood why people leave rocks in fields and let trees grow up. Looks good Mike. Happy New Year’s Eves’s eve
Me either and same to you buddy
SLC Farms this was first year on this farm, someone has farmed around rock and trees for years, not me!! Need long straight rows!!!
Chris I couldn’t agree with you more on straight rows. I’m like you why the f did they farm around them Little Rock’s so many years. I like your style and Mike’s work makes it come to fruition. Happy New Year

I was hoping you'd have to resort to dynamite to get that big sycamore out but it was fun to watch anyhow!
lol that would be awesome
Stump grinder attachment is all I’m gonna say...
i got a better idea T N T !!!!!
Lol...One of the few times size really doesn't matter! ;-)
😂😂 true
Wade would have used that for a Christmas tree
😂😂
Now its Tree Perfect.
Did Chris take the bushel of cab corn out of the bill?

Thanks buddy
Never needed bigger! lol
Never lol
If like to see what kind of lumber can come out of that Sycamore
Good ?have know idea
Where's the new excavator?
