- Spain, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Monaco, France and Yugoslavia voting at the 1976 Eurovision Song Contest.
Note that the spokesperson of the French jury forgot to give his jury's 4 points, which should have gone to Yugoslavia - who thus finished with 10 points instead of 6 (this mistake was corrected after the contest).

Where did they hold the eurovision in '76, a pub? the green room looks like a boozer!
yes they didn't give the 4 point's out. Wouldn't have changed anything but I think this is the reason they went from giving the points out as they went down the list of countries to giving them out in order from 1 up to 12 to avoid this.
They could give her a chair couldnt they?
@Mangoteppe - yes, she's using exactly the same tone of voice as you use for "yeah, right". Excellent.
We voted in a strange way (as always !) but I'm proud we gave 8 points to Greece ;-)
LoL Monaco : She says "Angleterre" and "Hollande"... After that people will again say that we don't care about foreign countries...
The final video in this playlist is blocked in my country. Bit annoying, as it was my country that won and I wanted to see them get their award! Any chance this could be fixed?
What a great year this is! France must still be one of the biggest losers ever. I've read somewhere that percentage-wise this French song would be in the top 10 of all ESC songs gaining most points. The UK win was OK though. I love it. But I have to say that my alltime favourite song here is the fabulous Monaco entry. Probably my fave ESC song ever. But there's lots of other great songs this year like Israel, Yugoslavia and I even have a soft spot for Norway. This is my fave year. Period.
I go for the 'surprise' theory - sometimes you blurb things you don't intend to when you're taken off-guard (goodness knows I have done so on more than one occasion!).
I used to watch even it was many times not the best song that did win, many times not fair but now I don't look at it anymore for years

Am I the only one who finds Corry Brokken a rather awkward host? She must be the only host to call on the French jury in English!
Loved that as French insist on giving votes in French. Must have annoyed answering an English question.
I have no idea, really - maybe expressing surprise?
I think she sounded almost rude, like she thought "What ever"...
