you aren't forced to cap it on your monitor refresh rate, just make sure you can run it well without any spikes and etc and you're fine, works just fine for me on 200 even though my refresh rate is 60.

doesnt work for me, what do i do? i put the fps cap at 240 (same as my monitor hz) and the ping still goes up to 6k

Okay, does that work when your FPS is lower than the monitor Hz, for for example if I have 45 FPS and 60Hz, there shouldn't be any issues, right ?
