    The new keg land carbonation tee piece would be awesome for this. Would remove the need to recharge the PET bottle

    Also looks like a great way to add priming sugar to a purged and sealed keg without having to open the lid! I'm just getting into pressure fermenting looking forward to watching more of your vidz

    Great video. I generally add in gelatin in keg, purge then close transfer but this is great for adding hop tea to give an older IPA some life.

    The first time I tried this, my beer line got stuck, because the gelatin went solid in a couple of seconds. Obviously this depends on how cold your beer is. So, you also need to push the gelatin in with more gas quickly, before it goes solid.

    • @DrHansBrewery
      @DrHansBrewery  3 года назад

      I use the gaspost to push the liquid through.

    Great how to video Dr I’ve never put any gelatine in any of my beer , if I turn all the light off all my beers look clear. LOL. Good idea I’d used it on the Keg for adding hop teas as you said, cheers .

      It's not for everyone. I'm a meat eater so I have no problems with it. But if I'm brewing beer to give away then I think twice about it.

    All good but maybe spotted a mistake. I usually purge the connecting line of air with product first before connecting.

    • @DrHansBrewery
      @DrHansBrewery  6 лет назад

      John Freeborn Thanks for your comment. Nice spotted! I did purge the connection line as well. Had no foto off it but you heard me talking about it the third time. That was one off the reason I decided to film that third time actually. Cheers!

  • @MikaelWallSweden
    @MikaelWallSweden 3 года назад +1

    This is a great idea! Thanks! I tried it recently and it made clear beer, BUT some of the gelatin solidified on the surface and got stuck there. With my floating dip tube, some of it followed into the bottles while CP-bottling from the fermenter creating haziness again. Have you also got gelatin stuck on the surface?

    • @DrHansBrewery
      @DrHansBrewery  3 года назад

      Never happened to me. What kind of gelatine did you use?

    • @MikaelWallSweden
      @MikaelWallSweden 3 года назад

      Same as you, DrOetiker or something like that. Was your gelatin solution still warm when you pushed it in? I also flushed the fermenter, and doing that the co2 came out of solution making a bit of foam on top of the beer. Perhaps this forced the gelatin to become solid on the top?

  • @joakimevertsson7865
    @joakimevertsson7865 6 лет назад

    Snyggt👍 har en fråga dock, kan man inte tillsätta gelatinet direkt i "waste'n"? Som när man torrhumlar tänker jag. Jag är på g och ska köpa en fermentasaurus jag med så dessa videos är guld värda👍👍
