I wasn’t sure where you were going at the beginning, but where you took this was PERFECT!! I never thought I would ever see the evil that is here today. My God, my Jesus and my Bible are my only focus. I pray for angelic protection over my children and grandchildren. You touched on all points of depravity. I can’t watch movies, news or listen to music unless they are Christ based. My friends are unhappy and when I tell them Bible verses, they say, “Oh, that is just a book written by good men.” They have SEEN and heard the Grace God has given me,, I’m talking BIG Grace…. yet they aren’t interested. So, we keep praying for them and that the scales fall from their eyes. Praise God! ❤️
A couple of weeks ago my husband put on a Disney show rescue rangers. I pled with him not to show our children any secular cartoons. He assumed it was fine since it was from the 80s. I found an episode where the males characters went under cover as women and another male character admired them. Also other episodes with magic.
I thank the Lord God for Bible teachers and You tube...what puzzles me is after 6 years of a true believer ..they all preach the Bible does not contradict its word .Only wish God was more clear there are to many interpretations.

Boy...if this doesn't speak of what's happening today. Many folks don't realize it; even some Christians don't see it and go along with the "program." And when Dr. Lawson spoke; you can think of examples and leaders that fit the bill of what he described. And folks eat it up. My prayer for all us is to be like Noah who: "Found favor in the eyes of the Lord." Self examination so paramount and the willingness to "sell all you have, give it to the poor and come follow me." This sermon touched my heart ❤️ I am unevenly yoked with my husband of 43 years. I was a believer when we married he was in the middle. I was at that time a Roman Catholic. I have long left that religion. My marriage is a continuous struggle and the Lord is my rock. Without Him I am dead.
Thanks for your honesty. I was a Roman Catholic but saved by the Grace of God about 38 years ago. My husband had been a Catholic religious brother for 19 years. He left that religious order and the Lord led him to the Truth. He led many to Christ and it was wonderful to serve God together. He is now with Christ. What a wonderful Saviour. When I listen to John Calvin I think what a mighty man of GOD to have lived and taught as part of the Reformation! However, no one person has 100% truth, because we are still being purified here while on earth. I'm almost committed a relationship with a girl recently, but the girl I liked was unbeliever. I'm so thankful to the Lord. There are as many takes on that passage about "son's of God" as there are about the "rapture". The matter at hand is salvation, walking in God's Word and not any private interpretation. Hard to do when everyone wants to be right.

After watching and reading Michael Heiser’s work in the unseen realm and listening to his interpretation of the verses- if you look at the word gods in Hebrew it is Elohim- Elohim is used for God and gods. They were part of God’s council. They are the ones who had children with earthly women. Michael has done extensive research on these verses and on the council of God and other works that based on the time frame of when this was written- the Jews knew who the son of God were. Enoch is a great reference for figuring out this issue and The people living back then knew Enoch and His knowledge of what was going on. I am convinced after listening and reading from Michael Heiser that we need to know the culture and context of what was going on during that time period to understand this passage correctly. Sins of God are literally other lesser gods that made up God’s council and left to do evil and are now locked up awaiting final judgement when Jesus returns in judgement. After knowing what people knew back then, this passage makes much more sense.
i attended grace church evening service about 10yrs ago and John Mcarthur tought genesis 6 ..... he said sons of God whenever mentioned in the bible always referred to angels! Johns take was fallen angels somehow got women pregnant, saying the angels probably posessed men to doit.
I have also heard John MacArthur preach on this passage and teach that they were demons. I'm really surprised to hear Lawson preach the typical seminarian view that the sons of God were the believing line of Seth.
How can “the sons of God” be believing men, if they were those who’s thoughts were only evil continually? Also, they received the wrath of God with no mercy..
The term ' sons of God' only referred to angelic beings in the OT. What took place was a group of angels who left their heavenly estate and came down to earth and took human women as wives and bore half human, half angelic hybrid 'monsters'.
This was my question to if they were believers they can not fall away from the faith...... And there were only 8 saved so there were no other believers at that time.
For sure the Deceiving spirits lead us down the wrong path, anything to destroy our testimony and our credibility- and certainly I had been deceived by the Roman Church. When I found out I had to leave, repent, recover my composure, and go on to the High Calling of Jesus!
People have the word of God as a guide and direction to go in life. People have a conscience that tells them the right and the wrong. We have a merciful and gracious God who is willing to forgive us for our sins. Let us take hold upon Jesus Christ and take His yoke upon us so at the time of our death we will be received into Eternal Life with God and His Holy Angels.
Just think what John Calvin would say - this sermon you were predestined to deliver at this point time! Hope that some have come to Jesus through listening.

Isn’t it amazing that we can stitch various verses together and they make perfect sense - that’s the uniqueness of the Word - but was that interpretation the original intention of the Author?
I keep praying for God to rapture the church soon, so I can leave this sinful, wretched, immoral, valueless, unrighteous, unholy, ungodly, corrupt God forsaken world🌎, and unite with Christ and other genuine, sincere Christ followers in heaven. This world is getting worse by the minute.
This world is not God forsaken, for God is STILL striving with man. STILL giving man opportunity & time to turn from his sin, repent and follow Him. But we do not know just when He will stop striving with man. What a Mighty God we serve. The Bible says the end times will start with a sexual revolution which has happened, followed by a homosexual revolution, which has also happened. Next comes a reprobate mind which is here now. All we can do is pray 🙏 that the church is raptured very soon so we can all escape from this horrible, Godless, unholy world.
If the Sons of God were indeed believers of God in those times, then they would have to be just ordinary humans. But why will their offsprings be GIANTS? And why will God need to destroy them? I am sorry i disagree with Pastor Lawson on this one. I believe thiese are really fallen angels. After all, angels are also called sons of God in Job. Giants could mean powerful men. Actually the translation Godly men or people marrying ungodly makes more sense in Context of the bible. Because if it doesn't mean this you have to deal with the issue of the souls or the lack thereof of their off of the offspring of the fallen angels, and their offsprings offsprings.
I agree with you. These sons of God were not men. Neither were they fallen angels or demons. They were actually angels who had not fallen yet. These were LIKE some of the angels that visited Abraham, Lot and others. They had the body of men. They ate like men and I am sure there are other human things that they can do. During their visits they saw that women were beautiful and went in unto them. God asked Job where he was when the foundations of the earth were laid, when the morning stars sang together, and when all the sons of God shouted for joy. That is correct concerning the sons of God. The Bible tells us that the good angels are ministering spirits. That would tell us that the fallen angels are also spirits....evil ones. They don't have a body. God is the only one that overshadowed a woman and brought forth a son...Jesus Christ. The demons don't do this.

After watching and reading Michael Heiser’s work in the unseen realm and listening to his interpretation of the verses- if you look at the word gods in Hebrew it is Elohim- Elohim is used for God and gods. They were part of God’s council. They are the ones who had children with earthly women.
Michael has done extensive research on these verses and on the council of God and other works that based on the time frame of when this was written- the Jews knew who the son of God were. Enoch is a great reference for figuring out this issue and The people living back then knew Enoch and His knowledge of what was going on.
I am convinced after listening and reading from Michael Heiser that we need to know the culture and context of what was going on during that time period to understand this passage correctly.
Sins of God are literally other lesser gods that made up God’s council and left to do evil and are now locked up awaiting final judgement when Jesus returns in judgement.
After knowing what people knew back then, this passage makes much more sense.

i attended grace church evening service about 10yrs ago and John Mcarthur tought genesis 6 ..... he said sons of God whenever mentioned in the bible always referred to angels! Johns take was fallen angels somehow got women pregnant, saying the angels probably posessed men to doit.
Many very learned theologians hold this view.
I have also heard John MacArthur preach on this passage and teach that they were demons. I'm really surprised to hear Lawson preach the typical seminarian view that the sons of God were the believing line of Seth.
How can “the sons of God” be believing men, if they were those who’s thoughts were only evil continually? Also, they received the wrath of God with no mercy..

The term ' sons of God' only referred to angelic beings in the OT. What took place was a group of angels who left their heavenly estate and came down to earth and took human women as wives and bore half human, half angelic hybrid 'monsters'.
This was my question to if they were believers they can not fall away from the faith...... And there were only 8 saved so there were no other believers at that time.
For sure the Deceiving spirits lead us down the wrong path, anything to destroy our testimony and our credibility- and certainly I had been deceived by the Roman Church. When I found out I had to leave, repent, recover my composure, and go on to the High Calling of Jesus!
People have the word of God as a guide and direction to go in life. People have a conscience that tells them the right and the wrong. We have a merciful and gracious God who is willing to forgive us for our sins. Let us take hold upon Jesus Christ and take His yoke upon us so at the time of our death we will be received into Eternal Life with God and His Holy Angels.
Just think what John Calvin would say - this sermon you were predestined to deliver at this point time! Hope that some have come to Jesus through listening.

Thank you Pastor Steve, could you please teach John McArthur this lesson? I am so happy that I am not the only Christian that refused to believe that God would suspend His natural law of procreation (Gen 1) and allow angel/human hybrids.
Isn’t it amazing that we can stitch various verses together and they make perfect sense - that’s the uniqueness of the Word - but was that interpretation the original intention of the Author?
Where these believers who brought God's judgment upon themselves through sin. Saved as by fire?

The Bible says the end times will start with a sexual revolution which has happened, followed by a homosexual revolution, which has also happened.
Next comes a reprobate mind which is here now.

If the Sons of God were indeed believers of God in those times, then they would have to be just ordinary humans. But why will their offsprings be GIANTS? And why will God need to destroy them? I am sorry i disagree with Pastor Lawson on this one. I believe thiese are really fallen angels. After all, angels are also called sons of God in Job. I think this is the simplest and most direct and literal interpretation. Anyway, i love Pastor Lawson just the same. He is one of the best teachers nowadays along with John McArthur ang RC Sproul.

Giants could mean powerful men. Actually the translation Godly men or people marrying ungodly makes more sense in Context of the bible. Because if it doesn't mean this you have to deal with the issue of the souls or the lack thereof of their off of the offspring of the fallen angels, and their offsprings offsprings.
I agree with you. These sons of God were not men. Neither were they fallen angels or demons. They were actually angels who had not fallen yet. These were LIKE some of the angels that visited Abraham, Lot and others. They had the body of men. They ate like men and I am sure there are other human things that they can do. During their visits they saw that women were beautiful and went in unto them. God asked Job where he was when the foundations of the earth were laid, when the morning stars sang together, and when all the sons of God shouted for joy. These sons of God were heavenly beings..NOT Seth's offspring. This is my first time listening to this Pastor

@@fredsavory9789 my comment on genesis 6, was from research done by biblical scholars, based on ancient linguistic writings... when it comes to a discussion on the nephilim, that discussion isn't one that involves a salvific or instructional nature, as it pertains to holiness ,in an individual's walk,or sanctification. (as far as I can tell,in an immediate application). I am aware that scripture is for edification, instruction, and correction, and to address your question of, have I recieved the Holy Spirit, I can answer in the affirmative. I appreciate your zeal, but to aspire to telling someone what one is "suppose to say" or think,may be a little presumptuous, or may not be factoring in the different functions that exist within the body of christ. Hiesers assertions regarding the text in gen.6 may be inaccurate, but I have ,after hearing other opinions, chosen to "endorse" his conclusions, based on linguistic evidence.. There are two interpretations to Gen 6:2 . Both sides convincing . Let believers in the True and Living God remain open .

The Bible tells us that the good angels are ministering spirits. That would tell us that the fallen angels are also spirits....evil ones. They don't have a body. God is the only one that overshadowed a woman and brought forth a son...Jesus Christ.

if the son's of God means men that believed then there would've been a lot more people on the ark, if they were adopted and set aside then why did God kill them in the flood? Also why would it make a big deal considering it says When man began to multiply in the earth when the son's of God seen the woman? we already know they were multiplying on the earth in those days, it tells us at the beginning of the verse?
