The little reservoir in the front is for the charge air cooler. It's a closed system for that only with its own electric pump. The CAC is under the plastic cover where you put the oil in. The larger one at the back is the regular engine coolant reservoir. The level is fine. The VGT actuator sweep at shutdown is to knock soot off of the vanes in the turbo so they don't stick.
Nice! My dad loves that 3.0 we have another oil change coming soon we went to go pick up a 54 mercury was a 3 Hour drive one way it did amazing he wasn’t to happy with how much diesel it used a lot
Use a fuel lubricant, I see big Trucking companies using Lucus upper cylinder lubricant in large quantities. Makes me believe it is safe for the scr. I noticed it does smooth the acceleration sounds crazy bc these engines are very smooth to begin. The injection system is a big deal. Lubricating the pump and injectors is not a bad idea…
We bought a case of “all in one diesel” by Amsoil we put on in every so often we really like the Amsoil products using that diesel oil the truck doesn’t seem to be burning any oil! Good stuff
We haven’t had any issues with it it’s got plenty of power we have towed with it and the truck did really well my dad does fell like the driver seat could be more comfortable the 10 speed it’s really nice it gets really good MPG we drive 100 miles a day only have to fill up once a week

Nice dude just did my first change at 2k miles. ‘23 rst. Used castrol edge 0w-20 and a upf66r filter. It was an ultra easy oil change!
