Before we went to what we think of as standard sizes(twin, full, queen etc.) a standard bed is what we now might consider 3/4 of a full size. Of course, these days that size bed would require custom mattress and bedding as it is a now-a-days non standard size. Not exactly practical for continued use as a bed. I’ll be watching this as I’ve 3 sets of these old & beautifully crafted antique bed frames. Keep up this good work darling. You are Awesone‼️👌
That is beautiful! I have two headboards in my storage that I am planning on doing this. I only have the headboards so I’ll have to do something about the sides. I have a lot of old wood. I actually took a piano apart. Man I’ll never do that again! But I saw how you turned a piano into a bar. This piano was sitting on the street ready for garbage. Can’t wait for part two. Heading over to see your house. I miss seeing those old houses. I used to live in Boston. Welcome back.

Super excited to see part two. My cousin gave me an old double bed frame, kinda like yours but the head board isn't as tall. I think I could turn it into a bench for our vacation rental house.

@@trudyeby464 I believe CrysDawna has a covered area that it’s going in. However, there are many water based top coats on the market that can be used to protect the wood. You may have to re apply depending on how much the elements affect the bench thought the year(s).
@@stellaroseboutique Ok, covered area makes sense. I know about exterior topcoats but feel like the water would get in between joints and rot the wood or break with thaw freeze expansion, etc.
