This is an Unbelievable piece of history. Eisenhower was an incredible President for this country during a time when this country's existence as a nation was put to the test. I once read that Eisenhower on his own initiative ordered detailed filming of the concentration camps once he saw them. It was stated that he knew if there was not detailed documentation regarding what occurred there that one day be agenda minded individuals that would attempt to rewrite history. This is someone who in my opinion demonstrated vast intelligence because even with the proof there are those who have tried to say it didn't occur. He used the Augusta National as a respite where behind its security he could relax, but even so Clifford Roberts saw the need for the integrity of the venue and the sport to be protected by requesting the President always depart the grounds when the need arose to handle official business, which was said that the President Fully agreed with. He may very well have deserved some isolated relaxation after all those years as Battle Commander then another 8 as president. Just look at what a 4 year stint as Commander and Chief can do to an individual's appearance. He proved once again that you don't have to be a great golfer to truly enjoy the sport.
