Julekonserten was a Norwegian Christmas concert which was held every year between 1989 and 1999. Julekonserten toured in Scandinavia, and visited cities in Norway, Sweden and Denmark with a mix of Scandinavian artists. The long list of artists and performers includes Sissel Kyrkjebø, The Chieftains, Oslo Gospel Choir, Triple & Touch, Rune Larsen, Tor Endresen and Kurt Ravn. Every year Julekonserten (the concerts in Oslo and Gjøvik) was also broadcast on Television in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Stageway AS arranged these concerts and a part of the money went to aid children on the street in La Paz and Santa Cruz in Bolivia.

Dear Sweetness, in my opinion you're a trooper (trouper) in the best sense of the word. Bless your dear courageous heart. Maybe it's beside the point, but my ex-wife once opined that, if it were men who carried babies, the human race would shortly go extinct. Bravo to you. (I remember one of the first times I heard "Silent Night." And after the school concert, we were walking to our various homes not together but scattered across the snowy prairie night under the stars. I was by myself but, looking around at the others, I never felt so whole, so much at one with the world.) Listening to "My Tribute" made me think of prayer. One day I was testing out the facility of prayer. So there was a car in the next block where 2 men were unloading the trunk. As I stood there watching, I noticed they both had their hands full of parcels. So I tested God. I thought "God, if You tell those 2 men to stand there & wait for me to shut the trunk for them, then I will know that prayer works." I kid you not. They both stood there looking at that trunk door until I walked up & closed it for them. I noticed some of the proceeds of your concert went to kids in La Paz & Santa Cruz. Maybe it's irrelevant, but I thrive on connections & coincidences. My wife & I wrote letters to a family in La Paz for many years. That was Anita, Juan Carlos & Isabel Salazar living in the barrios near the Altiplano. Going off the Plan, apparently Anita got married & they moved to Cochabamba & we weren't able to hook up with them after that.
