Dogs suffer PTS just like us humans and as hard as it is to break down that barrier Love is the perfect key to unlock that barrier. When i adopted Jake so many years ago from a shelter, he was so fearful, even an outreached hand would make him flinch and back away. When he eventually realised that outreached hand wasn't extended to hurt him he began to relax over time the flinching and backing off faded as his confidence grew, but it took some weeks to make progress and he eventually overcame his fears and his PTS subsided. He lived a full life full of joy, he was adored not just by everyone he met but also by his best friend and companion Ollie who helped him forget his past who lived for 16 wonderful years. My Account avatar is tributary to them both who now roam, hopefully together in the sunny fields of heaven.
We try to train dogs. Teach them things. What if we tried to learn from them things like happiness, reliability, devotion, tenderness, playfulness and wordless communication.
I've adopted 3 dogs like this,one took almost 6 months of coaxing. But when that light bulb comes on you just want to cry. They are all doing great now We have six smaller buddies and they all get along. The funniest thing is when all 6 try to cuddle up around my feet under my desk. It was worth it
God doesn't have anything to do with dogs being adopted or dogs in the first place. If He had, we couldn't kill pests and dangerous animals without punishment because He created them too. God didn't put anything Godly in animals.

Beagles are the most precious fur covered babies ever, they have to have been put pure hades to be like this and thankfully if they are around warm love they prove to be the most forgiving. God knew we needed to love and be loved so He gave us dogs and especially Beagles.

When he stopped at the door and wouldn't go in, I think he had been taken into enclosed spaces and attacked while trapped so he thought he was going to be abused and didn't want to go in the house. So many horrible humans.
Walt looks like me some time ago, living in a toxic family: without love and respect. Luckily Walt is in good hands now and I have left my toxic family!
Imagine how much faster he would have recovered if they had focused solely on him and not on making sure a camera was shoved up his nose every second of his day.
So much of the joy of these videos is lost on me; I feel so much anger at whomever did this to the animal. It is my problem, I need to appreciate the joy and get past my desire for vengeance.
Just imagine having the kind of heart and soul that could damage or hurt animals.. I don't get it.. It's very painful to watch what those babies go through.. Dogs would never do that to humans..
