Hiking San Jacinto Peak via Marion Mountain Trail (Six Peak Challenge)

The lesser-travelled Marion Mountain to San Jacinto Peak trail skips the palm springs aerial tram, beginning a few miles north of Idyllwild. This hike is for advanced hikers! We clocked 17 miles and 4200 feet of elevation gain.

@Your Planet There isn’t any cell service for the most part. I typically download our trail map on the paid version of all trails. The GPS on your phone doesn’t require cell service. I would use this with a backup battery pack and possibly solar charger if weight allows it!

Always wanted to try this hike, but don’t want to do it alone

It’s always safer to hike with someone else! We only saw people at the peak didn’t see anyone along the trail the entire hike.
