Yes bro, I think having to leave the US and all the trauma and brutal beatings he has taken, and confirmed rejection from women since, has taken his delusions to a new, deeper level. He is resilient as narcissists are (most of us would never be able to live through such suffering and find a fantasy powerful enough to pull us through), but that causes him to just accept each step deeper into the hole, adjust to it with more delusional comments, slowly convincing himself it's all real. He is SO far gone ... just so very far gone.
