Ngl, nearly cracked when the Tericula Wedding outfit came out... I still do like 2 pulls on some of the outfit banners like a proper gacha gremlin tho o7
To put the (non-discounted) max 9600 crystal cost into perspective, an F2P lv 81+ captain in Red Lotus gets around 19-21k crystals per patch when they grind out everything (unless of course it's a patch with a lot of freebies, like anniv or CNY), so an outfit is at most about half a patch's crystal income or 35 pulls. That's more than half a pity for a Part2 valk's weapon or almost half a character. For people still building their account, it might not be worth it, but at the end of the day, it's up to the individual. I personally got the HoHE and PE outfit when they came out and I don't regret those one bit, so there's that.
Also you can add on ER being 500 every week and such too plus with doing the leveling up of characters! Kinda insane when you do that math Vs the math to just pay an outfit which is around $150 if you weren’t saving and just planning on getting. I personally always suggest doing things you like for certain characters especially if F2P I mostly save and try and think before pulling since I have a budget for each patch if I need to use o7
@@NohrTrappola Ah, I already counted the weekly 500 from ER in the total, but yeah leveling new characters is a good source, especially for new players who have a lot of A-Ranks to go through. I just specified lv81 RL captains, since Abyss is the mode that varies the most depending on the level and bracket. True, the topup cost is kinda insane if you go from 0 (never really paid attention to that one) But yeah, definitely agree with your take on doing things you like. It is a game (and their own account) and if someone has a favorite character and wants an outfit, who am I or anyone else to tell them to not go for it. The goal is to have fun and I personally enjoyed Dudu's Nibelungenlied outfit animations for example a lot more than the base ones
