Tying Leaders that WON'T break! Slip Tie and Solid Tie Leaders | Salmon Mooching Rig

Skip and Louise have been fishing together for over 50 years and have stopped by to share with us how to tie a solid leader for Salmon fishing. These solid tie and slip tie leaders are commonly used with flasher or dodger while trolling.
The gear used today in our leaders was:
40lb test Line | Maxima | Ultra Green
5/0 Octopus Hook | Gamakatsu

Thanks for watching! I actually ordered a GIANT hook to use with some string to better show the tying on camera. Hopefully it arrives soon. I think that will help a lot. Fisherman like Skipp are so good at what they do sometimes it's hard to see the movements they are so fluid. - Zach
