the spell vs new zealand in an odi, lahore 2002 where he broke the 160 kph barrier for the first time would be a super duper upload I guarantee that it will trend everywhere and make it to the first page of shoaib akhtar on youtube
Miss those days when cricket used to be a competition between bat and ball. I have already said that and keep saying. Corrupt IPL and T20 spoiled the soul of this beautiful sport. I switched to Cricket and moved to other sports like Football and Tennis. Only watch the highlights of old matches. Now its all about fours and sixes due to too much fielding restriction , small grounds and other stupid batsmen friendly rules
Those were days when bowlers were not a showpiece. Even targets of 150 were tricky. Nowadays T20 mode has ruined the thrill of low scoring games. Even 300 ain't safe in modern day cricket.
I watched this match live on TV. 2000 Sharjah cup. Pakistan also won this Sharjah Cup final against South Africa but Shoaib Akhtar did not play in the final he was injured.
When fast bowling was really fast bowling. Akhtar, Lee, Tait, and before them The Australian duo, the long line of West Indian quickies-others, too. The ones who stand out in memory are Thomson and Holding, especially Holding, who could generate enormous pace with an easy, loose-limbed action, but all are worthy of recognition, and Akhtar was perhaps the first to hit a hundred miles an hour, confirmed
I remember watching this match. South Africa was bundled out for 101 leading to a Pakistan and South Africa showdown in the final of the tri nation cup (India didn't reach the finals). And they dominated in the final match. Pakistan was scary in 1999 - 2000 year period. It's a shame they missed on World Cup in 1999 mostly due to failed strategy against the Australians in the final.
An absolute ferocious bowler, who gave it his 100 per cent in each of his deliveries. Never had once cheated, whether it was pict tampering or ball tempering. Never involved in any such spot fixing or match fixings saga, and throughout his career played in pain due to his troublesome knees. Yet there are ex players who them selves have been caught out doing some illegal action. Just because he talks straight, and gives his opinion people don’t like him. Get to know him first that he’s a clean cricketer through and through with no wrongdoings. A lion heart of a bowler.

bhai jaan aap jesa bolar phir nahin aae ga pakistan me love u brother
wooow 3 wicket maiden defending 174 and that too alltop order batsmen of a South African team.....this actually has to be the greatest odi over of all-time
As a kid when I watched these matches live, I thought the future of cricket is wow. We don't see such interesting contests any more.
"Right! Kluesner on strike. Two slips in position. Tearing away again. Oh bowled him. Beautiful delivery. Magnificent bowling Shoib Akhtar. Absolutely spot on target. Seriously fast. He brought this place alive." If you take out Tony Greig's commentary, the video looses half of its charm.
Yes very true
childhood memories ! shoaib my favourite bowler..
the spell vs new zealand in an odi, lahore 2002 where he broke the 160 kph barrier for the first time would be a super duper upload I guarantee that it will trend everywhere and make it to the first page of shoaib akhtar on youtube
100% true
Fabulous fast bowling, three wickets and a maiden. Great bowler!
Glad that because of RUclips new generation is getting to know who Shoaib Akhtar is!
Wish pakistan could create more such amazing bowlers. Respect for the shoiabs art , struggle to achieve it
Outstanding bowling from Shoaib Akhtar getting those 3 wickets in just 1 over :)
the aggression of shoaib at 2.30 can scared any batsman of world.what a bowler.
That is a beauty Shoaib sir! Absolute joy to watch!
Shoaib Akhtar... greatest fast bowler & a superstar 😎🤠
Pakistan is best when it comes to producing fast bowlers.
Respect from Australia
I love Shoaib Akhtar. He was also my senior in Asghar Mall College Rawalpindi. He was the match winner player. Huge respect and regards for him.
Rawalpindi Xpress shoib akhter my favourite player after boom boom afridi .
Love u both from jammu kashmir.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Commentator is magnificent , perfect commentary for cricket.
what great old days....miss them..
Excellent Shoaib Sir, dire need of such a icon in Indian squad
Get out of India you Bastard
Those were days when bowlers were not a showpiece. Even targets of 150 were tricky. Nowadays T20 mode has ruined the thrill of low scoring games. Even 300 ain't safe in modern day cricket.
Shoaib is da best fast bowler I’ve ever seen in my life , he was different, wot a legend he was
Wow the bad boy of cricket Sir Shoaib Akhtar the legend sheer pace ❤️❤️❤️
For those who don't know it's the great late Hansie Cronje who is commentating with Tony Greig.
Target was 169 and South Africa got out at 101 in this match, shoaib changed the game in one over and was man of the match
What an era of cricket was
Commentary
Crowd
Passion etc etc etc
His celebration style will always remain the best!
Bowling style and speed and attack all were fabulous
Great bowler with unbelivable staminaa...
The ones who stand out in memory are Thomson and Holding, especially Holding, who could generate enormous pace with an easy, loose-limbed action, but all are worthy of recognition, and Akhtar was perhaps the first to hit a hundred miles an hour, confirmed
klusener the tornado,
incinerated by akhtar the volcano.

Legend! The Rawalpindi Express on Fire!!
He was giving his 100%
One of the Greatest commentator of All time admiring one of the greatest fast bowler of all time....both are brilliant
Most exciting commentator ever
1998 Against Australia Sachin Tendulkar's inning in Sharjah
Amazing commentary by Tonny Graig
