Your videos are great, thanks. As a newbies to this kind of fishing I would e grateful to know what rod, reel and line you're using. Also in your beach videos - ae you using the same gear?

Hi Tony, thanks for the kind words. I am using an 8ft Shimano Backbone Rod and a Penn 4500 Spin Fisher Reel. I am running 30lb braid with a 20lb fluorocarbon leader. I use the same rod for both the boat and on shore. Cheers Aaron

@@canterburyfishingadventures As a follow-up to this, I bought the rod and reel, put on 30lb braid and 20lb fluorocarbon leader, and took it to Onepoto Harbour today and caught a kahawhai on my third cast with a 20g spoon. Magic!

Thanks for rhe comment. The 3 most commen lures I use are a silver ticer, Blue metal casting jig and Chinook lures. Cheers
