    The bag looks the goods. But it’s the lil humour in the video that sold me 😂

    Great bags. I have the -12 900 model and have used it in negative temperatures twice now and had to unzip it as it was too warm inside a swag. Highly recommended.

      Love my Cold Mountain bag. After being in -5 in the desert I am confident that its impossible for me to get cold in my swag whilst inside my sleeping bag whilst in WA. Just ordered a Oztrail +5 for summer as, like the Darche, it is a wide bag that is more comfortable for those of us that don't like to feel too cloistered.... but if Darche made a +5, I would have bought it due to being happy with the -12. Too bad for Darche for not providing an alterantive.

    Thanks for making this video, camping in victoria during winter had me angry at my kmart sleeping bag. its time to invest in a double sized -10 sleeping bag.

    Great video.
    I purchased the -12°c, 900 wide synthetic bag down here in Tassie last year. It's a great bag for winter 👌

    Best bag ever if you even want to call it a bag! Heaps of room in 1100 canvas, it does not feel like a sleeping bag at all

    Bloody hell you make that look easy. Lol.
    I’ve got the 1100 and the kids have the 900 each. It’s like a circus watching us all pack them away some times.

      Yeah, the bulkier bags can require a bit of muscle to get them back in the bag. Manufacturers are providing larger bags nowadays though, or at least the better ones are. I'd suggest just stuffing it back in, check out this video for more info - ruclips.net/video/5HYSM87j-m0/видео.html. ~ Ben

    Good vid - with the 900 once it's packed away and you use the compression straps, could it be stored in a large 65l hiking pack at all? Or is that out of the question

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  Год назад

      I reckon you'd get it in a 65 litre rucksack, Arun, the volume of the packed bag works out to be about 32 litres. The only catch is that you may not fit it in when it is packed tight in the stuff sack, depending on the geometry of the rucksack. ~ Ben

      @@SnowysOutdoors Thanks for the reply Ben. When you say 'packed tight' , I'm assuming you mean if I'm carrying a lot of other stuff? I'll keep that in mind!

      @@arunr5529 I mean if the sleeping bag was packed tight in its stuff sack it may be hard to get in the rucksack. This sleeping bag isn't designed for hiking. ~ Ben

    any hints n tips on cleaning the Darche 1400 canvas sleeping bag it's got a bit of fluff on the black side was thinking of handwashing then using a delinter

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  2 года назад +3

      Handwashing is always a safe option, you can use a front loader washing machine if you have one big enough. Otherwise use your bathtub if you want to give it a thorough wash, or surface clean works too. ~ Ben

      @@reddyman6915 it will be fine if you use a front loader on a gentle cycle. If you don't have a large enough machine you'd be best handwashing though. ~ Ben

    Gets in first bag and says it nice and tight after playing with the drawstring which is blatantly false o.O
    If he lies so readily about something simple like that can you trust him about anything?

      We aren't in the business of lying to our customers, djorn borne, we aim to give non-biased reviews of the products we sell, and won't try and upsell something that we know is not up to the job.
      You can pull those drawstrings as tight as feels comfortable to the individual, you'd be surprised how much cinching these just a little can make to the warmth inside the bag.
      If there is anything you are unsure about, please feel free to give us a call so we can clear it up for you.
