I went on a road trip through the midwest and got stuff for all my friends in places I stopped. I bought this friend a purdue football history book with all sorts of things from the programs history cause he's from Indiana and a big purdue fan. I got his fiance some taffy from Makinac island because when he introduced me to her we talked about how she was from Michigan and my mom was from Michigan. I kinda thought of it as getting something for them as a couple. I don't have any romantic interest in her and neither does she for me. I just figured since she was my best friends partner I could get her something simple as a gesture saying "hey your part of our friend group now." I see him as a brother so it felt kinda like giving a gift to a sister in-law. It was taken innocuosly by everyone. I feel like if it was anything more than a bag of candy though that it would've definitely been weird.
That’s completely normal, especially if yall are doing a friends Christmas or something. Your boy’s fiancé is your boy by extension, I think the weird part starts coming in if it’s some coworker or something that gets you a specific gift and doesn’t get anyone else in the office anything, or something along those lines

I'm sure in your office alone you do this and someone has gotten someone of the opposite sex who is married or in a long term relationship...... what are you just not going to get that person a gift now?
