It’s great to finally see Mallus, but I kinda expected so much more. When Rip and even Mallus himself were describing how he’s a powerful demon, who’s name alone scares the bravest people in history, including the Time Master, I was expecting a scary or creepy demonic monster, but here he looks generic. He looks just a goat monster creature with wings. But nonetheless I’m really glad we finally see Mallus’ true form.
Ok...let me get one thing straight- when you adapt something from an official source, you can create new, original characters, and it can work, like Lord Zed in Power Rangers, since he had no japanese counterpart in Super Sentai, and he turned out to be really awesome. However...Mallus sadly fails to deliver. Up until this scene in which he is revealed, I was really intrigued by him. Not only because of how menacing he was, but also because I was curious to know what character he is based on, since almost every villain in the Arrowverse tv shows is based on an official character from their comics. I actually had a rather flimsy theory that he is actually based on Malchior, a demonic villain from the (ONLY) Teen Titans show, but not only was I wrong, it also turned out that he is an original character, and he only slightly resembles a villain from DC's Daktoaverse named Malleus, who is a villain that deals with genetics and not dark magic (even Mallus' revelation that his actual name is Malice didn't really gave any insights on who he is based on). Also...Mallus' design looks REALLY unimpressive. It looks like every demon design that you see on games like Diablo, or shirts of Metallica or Iron Maiden. Were the creators really so lazy as to what kind of design they want to give this guy? Still, Season 3's finale was great, just wish that Mallus had more thought behind his character, although John Noble's awesome voice certainly helps as well☺
This villain named Mallus, even though he's associated with the DC Universe, instead of Disney. Got to say, he certainly resembles the demon featured in Night on Bald Mountain. That of course is a cartoon reference, one related to a segment from the 1940's animated film, known as Fantasia.
Mallus almost resembles the William Blake painting of the Great Red Dragon and the Woman Clothed in the Sun. Francis Dolarhyde: "I am the Dragon, and you call me insane. You are privy to a great becoming, yet you recognize nothing. To me, you are a slug in the sun, you are an ant in the afterbirth. It is in your nature to do one thing, you rightfully tremble. But fear is not what you owe me. YOU OWE ME AWE!"
Blue Destiny Yes indeed. Thats probably the main reason season 6 is such a failure. At least season 4 actually had a compelling villain that was high influential on the story and the characters. And it also had crucial events occur that kept it from being dull and bland like season 6 has been
Arrow is boring tbh. My mom likes it, but it’s not as good as The Flash and Legend of Tomorrow. All they really do in Arrow is the same stuff over and over. Fighting villains, and people dying.
I was expecting more, I mean this guy has been hyped up all season long, said to be all powerful, shown great power without his true form, but this looks way to bland, I was expecting a bit more creativity
Mallus was kinda meh. His design brings nothing new to the table at all. But i could oversee that. What really annoys me though is that he is essentially nothing at all. Like... Big mighty demon existing beyond time and space. They needed artifacts controlling essences of the universe to seal him literally needing time itself as a prison. And when he finally appears he went into a slap fight with a fight teddy bear. He didn't fracture time. He didn't threaten the reality. He didn't use any mystical powers beyond comprehension. He just... Did Kung Fu! That's it! Oh! And threw a fire ball!
They should’ve added darker coloring to fit him and maybe some fire effects too.
I expected a giant piece of black blob with red eyes
Hermaeus Mora?
Pym100 McpeMelon really? Me too
Pym100 McpeMelon Well, THATS kind of what Neron looks like!

Ferando Brito to be fair, would you not be terrified if you saw this thing in real life? Also; it's PG-13. They cant get too scary with the demons
Something out of Lovecraft would have been a cooler design
Also blame the budget
Ikr?
Mr. Onomatopoeia I mean that’s so true, but I still expected more.
His voice sounded like savitar.
Andrew Sung. More like Scarecrow
Scarier than Savitar
Did Mallus drink too much Red Bull?
Wayyyy to much. He even got a tail
dammit really hoping some damien versus constantine action
Mallus gives you wings!!!
No. Mallus just drank a lot of red bull

Jeepers creepers has a friend
I had hoped that Mallus was a human with black wings like a fallen angel.
Not all demons are fallen angels tho.
I mean they already have that
Whoever thought Mallus was Savitar, u guys were so wrong
DEVOE Gaming I still dont understand that theory
Spam singles Because that is so stupid theory it is so irrelevant
Idk how they came up with that. It was so obvious savitar was going to be future Barry
Nora's gonna need a bigger snicker.
I don't know why, but I kinda expected a giant Beebo with little Devil horns or something. I dunno. I feel like Legends would do that...
Mallus looks like a combination of Motaro and Onaga(Mortal Kombat bosses).
Mortal LEGENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@truthseeker6532 LOL
Balrog that talks without Fire
Mallus must have like zero procent body fat or something, dudes ripped as fuck
¡Por fin soy libre!
I have one question and one question only. Why do all villains insist on calling themselves a god?
He is an immortal demon, and the Fates are physical gods. Savitar was a fake.
@@zayneabdelmegid2740 guess he wasn't really immortal now was he? And while we're naming names. I guess Savage wasn't either.
@@arrowverselover100 immortallity here refers to being unable to die by natural means
I expected somthing biger i expected to be trigon i sure hope John Constantine joins the figh and legends. But his stilla demon
Not every DC demon turns out to be Trigon.
Markus Kuso unless it IS trigon
Trigon doesn’t have wings and if it was Trigon we should have seen Raven but we haven’t.
Trigon is on Earth 9
Mallus looks more like a dragon than a demon
legends of tomorrow or percy jackson?
Mallus:
IIII am SO MUCH MORE THAN A GODDDDDD

Did that thing kill Damien's daughter
Yes her head popped out 0:24
I think someone should call Dr fate
Still better than any villians Arrow currently has

To be honest, I expected a little more dignified.
Is it weird that I expected tentacles
Sooooo he’s a balrog?
Amazing Turtle I am not surprised. Maybe Rory was dreaming. He was watching LOTR for all the episode.

He could look better. It's 2018....
I am going 2 puke
Now i know why this season looks pretty bad with cgi
Goddamn Trigon rip off!
He's just a generic demon? So disappointed. I was expecting so much more.
Well it’s PG 13.. they can’t overdo it.
