Either recall relay disabled, or more likely that because those lifts are for an exit, there is no floor to recall to so there is no recall configured. I have seen this on a few occasions. There is road access on both levels of that lift so it wouldn’t make sense to recall.
I've never heard a fire alarm like the 2012 one. Was the one in the 2012 recording an old one dating from the 70s or 80s? I remember the 90s Kings Cross evacuation alarm from a bomb scare in the late 90s. It sounded like a Roshni sounder.
I hate that they test things like this so often - it makes people used to hearing and ignoring it, and it therefore loses its effectiveness in an actual emergency.
Mattyeah101 Myself and an ex were here in April, the whole place went on a lockdown as there was an actual emergency. The ticket gates opened and shutters came down that gave you access to the tracks, then the alarms came on along with strobe lights.
"Inspector Sands" is meant more for the staff than passengers. That's why it's a code rather than just a standard fire alarm. Personally if I heard "Due to a reported emergency..." I wouldn't chance it being a test. I'd be outta therrreeeeeee. Pronto.
The lift probably didn’t go into fire service since it was a test and they probably disabled the recall relay to prevent inconvenience to anyone wanting to use them or maybe it’s not wired in to the lift
Inspector Sands is used in most public places. Including entertainment venues. Also, Tuesday is the most common day for testing. Otherwise known as testing Tuesday.
At my school they have surprise fire drills at one went off when there was an a level exam on and they had to leave there exam and everyone just asked each other the answers .
I could just make out what the special announcement said that they test the alarm weekly this is what the announcement said "As part of weekly fire alarm testing you will hear an evacuation tone"
At My School They Have Very Loud Fire Bells In The Juniors Side Of The School But On The Infants Side It’s Not Loud And The Brand Who Them Are Nittan And Fulleon & Cooper
Nobody would try and imposter a person such as me who has the worst job in the world travelling around the UK on the dot calling to sods operating fire alarms.

I believe tests may have announcements in advance.
