Love the Lou versus men scences. Crushing the 8 guys at once against the wall with the log or breaking the necks of two guards, one in each arm--great stuff.
it gives a great sense of continuity to have Brad Harris, a fantastic looking athletic hercules from the 1960's starring as the King in this updated version of Hercules with the hugely gigantic Lou Ferigno
Lou Ferrigno was 99 percent deaf, with time and a speech therapist he was able to overcome this disability and talk real good. Listen to how Lou Ferrigno talks now and you would never have guess he had a disability.
The scene when he sliced off the the scorpion's head reminded me of that scene from 'Clash of the Titans'. You know, had 'Hercules' been done in the 1960's (when mythology movies were really popular) Ferrigno's career would have really took off (equivalent or even greater than Schwarzenegger).

I thought he lost 80% of his hearing due to an ear infection? I read it on Wikipedia so I don't know if it's true. I agree about how he speaks. When I first heard Ferrigno speak, I just thought he had an accent. I didn't even know he had lost his hearing until I read about it some time later.
Lou was awesome as Hercules. His massive muscles were perfection and he was a fantastic super strong hero, not like that puny Kevin Sorbo portrayal. So many awesome muscle scenes.
If Lou Ferrigno had enterd the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding contest when the first Hercules movie was made in Italy I believe he would have won the Mr. Olympia contest. His calf muscle was so developed they look like small melons. This was the first time I had saw Lou this muscular.

Lou looks awesome in this movie.. He was in better shape here than he was in pumping iron.. Lou did well for himself with the hulk and all that.. But imagine how far in Hollywood he would have went if he didn't have that hearing and speech issue, the sky would have been the limit for him..
Now I definitely know I'm straight. I've watched this movie for fun all my life. I never found his muscles attractive. The women in this movie are hot. I appreciate them every single time I watch.Lou's awesome, he doesn't get enough credit. I'm tall and I have to workout twice as hard as other guys in the gym, since the muscle is spread out so much. All those shorter body builders had less height to put muscle on. Which makes Lou the greatest despite the fact he never won Mr. Olympia
