I was excited for the game before this video but now I can barely wait to get to play it. Thanks for this great video! Loooove your coverage of the new expansions and TT in general.
The problem with this game that I always see in all the videos, no matter who plays it, is that the terrain is completely useless, once you arrive and get close to the Ruffian, do not separate from him and attack him until you eliminate him, It does not have any strategy to go around the map and use the obstacles.
I'd have to disagree. My wife and I typically end up using most of the terrain in some way of the fight. Some is for damage (outhouse, jalopy, farmer), some is for protection (haystack), some is for coinage/items (picnic), some is for maneuverability (moat --> ditch). Like any boss battler, you want to utilize your knowledge and surroundings to best take care of the boss. If you know you are going to be targeted and your friend is low, then it is in your best interest to kite them away. So why not kite them to in front of the jalopy next turn. The problem with direct, face-to-face on some bosses is that their break point could cause a lot of damage that you can't recover from because your turn ends.
What are some of the updated rules in the expansions that we can apply to the base game, like replenishing the Peddler's inventory after each purchase?
It can if you don't care about the "Role" cards. But if you want to play with those, the deck would be too diluted to see them come up as often as they should.

Replenish the inventory immediately and Reroll by using 2 mox for an attack or terrain card. That's all I can remember at this time
Can you mix the expansions shop with the base game?

Love the base game! Expansions will be an insta-back!
