Don't say you should crochet slower. My grandmother crocheted very fast like you. She crocheted so many projects, even a large beautiful table cloth, bedspread and long table runners in beautiful eggshell color cotton, all of her great grandchildren's layettes and sweaters and slippers, shawls for everyone. She also crocheted projects for all her friends. So you wonderful crochet speed is a blessing dear Arne. I admire you and your fine artistic talent Bless you
This scarf in the Regia yarn is so pretty! I love seeing both the splashes of color and the contrast edge, like on Carlos' version. The blue in Arne's scarf sample is so pretty, too! Thank you both for these videos and your tutorials! Anja is a lovely scarf!!
Dear Arne and Carlos, Thank you so much! I am so happy that you have posted the directions for making the Granny Square Scarf. I wanted one from a few videos ago when I saw you wearing one. You are never too fast. I will make and enjoy wearing my scarf from your design and directions.
Hello to you two fellows Sunday night drinking decaf tea watching you do your outstanding work working on my fisherman knit sweater cardigan and doing a small granny squares tonight nice cool day out here for a change. Love your scarves beautiful
This project is on my list. I bought two balls of the same yarn to make two scarves, one for a gift to my friend from church who knits my shawls for me, and one for me. I like how the socks and scarf matchy-match.
Summer Nights my favourite scarf also from the previous video. I think your sock weight yarn is just perfect for a scarf and crochets up beautifully. I do like to see how wacky or not it comes together. Love the joining up method, a great big thumbs up 🌞Thank you
I so enjoy your channel. I learned crochet from my grandma and knitting from my mom. Both were born in Oslo. I was fortunate to visit. Such beauty in Norway. Love all of your videos. Foods also. Thank you for teaching us more skills.
This was a fun crochet podcast. Can you do a little video of a local area or shop on one of your podcasts so we can experience more of your life in Norway. Thanks BrambleKnits 🇨🇦
i made this scarf in pale green sage and off white in worsted weight i got so many compliments at work and going out unfortunately someone stole it i was do upset watch out when you wear these beautiful scarves people love them
I love your patterns! I cant help myself because every video I watch I have to have the patterns. You both have made me fall in love with crocheting and the granny squares. I love watching how fast you both crochet. I wish I was that fast lol.
Thank you! It is very smart to turn it , why I never thought about it?! I think it looks better, I love that the texture looks the same om both sides! Great tip!!!!
Hello nice wool an enjoyed watching you wore :been able to crochet since i was12 yrs old now 59 but never seen any one crochet as fast pretty amazing ,kind regards from uk big thumbs up
Excellent get-together today! Liked the use of sock yarn to crochet a beautiful scarf, your explanation of how-to was very useful, and your scarf has a wonderful drape! You guys are great!
I enjoy watching the two of you. You are both so adorable and friendly. Keep up the tutorials even if Arne is super fast, it will give us a reason to watch it over and over. Thanks
Arne Carlos after watching your video I found some yarn of yours I used to make socks I had left over and so far tonight already I have made five squares and great they look too thank you for the inspiration 😀😀
If we ended up in a time machine to a western shoot out scenario I'd definitely hide behind Arne as he woukd have the fast trigger fingers ever 🙈😁 Arne I've never seen the likes ... your speed and skill is AMAZING!!
Dear Hunain Fergie: It seems that you are very creative - you knit, crochet, knit on a loom and sew! Just be your own creative self and disregard criticisms.
Hubby and I are going on road trip (California to Washington State). I've got my sock yarn and crochet hook. Ready to try my little hand at this scarf. I'm a beginner but I have no fear....You two make yarn art look so delicious!
WOW!!! I definitely want to re-learn how to crochet in 2021, as well as expand my skills. Absolutely LOVE these squares! I'll be binging on your channel for more crochet info, for sure! 😊❤👍
I love your shawls ! - I also really enjoy crocheting with sock yarn. I made a blanket last year with granny-stripes. Now you inspired me to do one with granny squares . I think a combination of your regia colors with some spots of solid colored ones would be nice. Thank you for the inspiration
These scarves are beautiful! And I love using the sock yarn. I use the Regia in your pattern colors for my Son in Law’s socks. Because they are large skeins. He wears a size 14 shoes. I use 2 balls makes perfect pairfect 😉 socks for him. Thank you! I must try these scarves! ✌🏻❤️🧶
Hi. I loved the today's tutorial, I've never done a Grammy squares scarf, but with your inspiration, I'll try it, thank you very much for the idea, and the tip, to make it reversible. Because there is always someone, who wants to correct, what others do, hahaha🤣 I wish you bouth a week of success in everything you do, I send a big hug to both of you, a Big TexMex Hug.
Hi Guys. I love this was of crocheting a granny square so there is no wrong side. After watching your tutorial last year I made a blanket that came out beautiful. I prefer the join you used on your blanket because it made it extra pretty. That said now I need to make a scarf and will try this join as I love to learn new things. I am looking forward to next Sunday. Have a wonderful week. 💐
I LOVE that idea, Arne, turning your work. it also avoids that horrible twist the block gets if you keep going the same direction. Well done to show us that and how beautiful is that sock yarn made into squares!!! so fine and delicate. I want to make socks and a scarf and go out to my knit group matching hahahahahaha!~ Very cool! Lu x
I have been using up lots of my little leftover balls of sock yarn to knit a garter stitch mitred blanket. Think of a multi-coloured chess board. The 'white' squares are undyed sock yarn, and the 'black' squares are all sorts of fantastic colours.
Helle Arne and Carlos, really love your knittingvideos, and I have bought two of your bookes and I love them. They are really nice to read. Kh Luise 😁.
Actually Arne and Carlos, I LOVE the groups of 4 trebles instead of "our" groups of 3 when you use the smaller, sock yarn and turn each round. It makes for a nicer drape. I, also, love it Arne when you tell your stories: "You have to crochet it, you're not getting mine."!!!! LOVE IT ! Thanks so much for your inspirations.
Thanks for this video! Now I want to pull out the squares I have made for my blanket and do them so there is no right side and wrong side and crochet the squares together as I go along. Arne, your skills are so impressive! I crochet pretty fast, but you really have me beat. Guys, I love the new yarn! I also really love that Summer Nights yarn, it's not my colors but I love it so much that I want some. See you next week!
Oh! a "new" way to crochet a granny square. I had a ton of sock yarn and (good grief) made a blanket. I crocheted it and little differently.....but your method makes a much sturdier fabric. I learned something new.....Can't say I will make another blanket....but I see another scarf (are you kidding me?) in Reggia....thanks, Guys....
Great sharing of tips and I'm truly impressed by how fast you guys crochet. I need to practice more to perfect your skills. Enjoy watching Your channel Thank you💜
The scarves are so colourful, I have some Regia yarn I purchased I think I will use it for this ! Thank you for brightening my Sunday, have a wonderful week and FYI being mistaken for Mikhail Baryshnikov is a wonderful compliment....
Wow! Love Sundays. Thank you for another great video. Carlos, will you show us how the scarf that Arne is making you with your orange jacket? Would love to see you model them together. Arne, you are unique, please don’t change for anyone. I love watching your fingers fly. In your “how to videos” you are slower and I pause, rewind and watch again. This video is really not a how to, so speed away 😊. Thank you for showing me how to use up my left over sock yarn. I was making doll cloths for my granddaughter, but now I want to do granny squares. Thank you for the inspiration and don’t change you two, we love you the way you are 😘. 🧶🧶🇨🇦
I just returned from WEBs with your sock yarn to make this scarf. It was disappointing to learn they didn’t carry your solid color sock yarn. And they had so little of your design sock yarn. What are the crochet hooks you use? I’m looking for ergonomic crochet hooks but I’m at a loss as to which brand to choose. I’m excited about making this scarf! Thank you so much for inspiring me!
