After living in Canada, when she went back home leave to Taiwan 1980, was scouted to debut in a movie. After that she moved to Hong Kong and started her new career as a Cantonese singer. As for my ears, her pronunciation sounds Mandarin native even when singing Cantonese. (my most favorite ones of her voice are '離開情人的日子', '等愛的女人'' In Mandarin.)
