I really hope that we could create our own bosses and customize how it looks and how it acts, especially with the power of UEFN 2.0. Imagine Boss fights in creative, they can be very epic and awesome to play!
How they made the original boss fight was actually pretty simple you can do it in UEFN just make a custom prop with HP then add animations to it and add a prop mover so it's hit box also moves in the direction it moves and when the props health is zero it gets destroyed and you win the "Boss fight". It's really just a prop with healt and animations and the attacks are linked through other devices
Happy to see you back in full swing with 2.0. I have been learning Verse over the past week pretty extensively and can't wait until you dive into that! As confusing as it may seem at first glance, it does become easier with practice and Epic build a ton of the backend stuff into it to make it much smoother then people think.
Just a recommendation, you should make the backrooms or update your current backrooms maps with UEFN. I play on console so i dont have access to creative 2.0 and the one thing i’ve been wanting to see since the UEFN update is some sort of take on the backrooms with working entities.
So great to see the nitro drifter because I have a racing map if my own and there was an update during chapter four which made it really challenging for the old cars to drive around my map with ease so I am definitely gonna try out the nitro drifter
At least in-game there are options to disable all sorts of HUD. There's an API in Verse for that, not sure if there's a device which you can easily configure in the editor.
Hey mustard I found a way to make augments in creative. You use the hud message device and have it so when you pick the augment you want it will activate a trigger that will give you gliders or low gravity or 2x damage
I wanted to make a map with 2.0 in the style of diablo but man is creative 2.0 still limited for stuff like this. No custom weapons and no custom camera angle is a dealbreaker
I don’t quite get the idea behind the channel device - it seems exactly the same as the “relay” triggers I’ve been setting up to avoid changing lots of bindings - except with fewer options like having a delay, a fixed number of times it can trigger, etc. I feel like I’m missing something obvious?
Currently the timed objective device is broken if you use it and change something in it and start the game then end game u can't edit,delete or move it.
Creative 1.0 is such an amazing concept: A game development tool thats is actually designed for gamers. UEFN is very cool also, but could be seen more as an extension only used when you actually need it.
Hey I'm a PS5 guy wondering if there a map with custom items/guns because I think they should add a way to make your own gun/item in creative 2.0 with damage values for guns and how it would work. And I think that item should have custom effects that can be on it that's what I think sould happen at some point. And maybe for the consoles they could have an item manger and a weapon manger but with effects that are in Fortnite
IMPORTANT QUESTION! Can you test the fiends and zombies in Fortnite? I’m trying to make zombie maps but even if I do get them to spawn they despawn after like 2 seconds and I cant fix it no matter what 😢
epic should add a weapon manipulator that can change the damage, speed, and look of any weapon you put in it and spit out the new one. they should also add (officially) all the old mythic items and I don't know why they haven't already.
I’m sure you know this epic games is all about bringing people together and the meta verse. Adding a uefn cateragory will push console creators to the dust and 1.0 maps can still be really good. I’m sure when the good uefn maps start coming out they will be on the top of trending though
Chad! Can you correct me But : Are 1.0 maps slower and worse supported with fps drops in game due to Graphics locked in? As Uefn has the New Graphics like Lumen settings too So is the whole game slower with maps made in 1.0 as the graphics are stuck?

Those new energy options were availible before the update actually. No one knew it was there
Something I’ve noticed with the nitro drifter is it flips pretty easily even without the speed boost pad and with off road tires.
Drifters in Fortnite are awesome, they dont even need a button for jump.

there is a way to turn of mini map and inventory there is a devices called the Hud controller and there is a new in UEFN tab in discovery

I enjoy maps that feel and work like Fortnite. I want to use UEFN mostly for landscape generation, build automation and specialized mechanics.
Maybe we as a community will build devices in UEFN which can be accessed in Creative 1.0.
