Fuegoleon likely fought against Vetto, Patri, Rhya and Fana when he got teleported. Yami said Patri was too weak to solo Fuego and the elves had no reason not to gang up on him. This would explain why Salamander chose him too.
I could actually see him either being ousted of dawn or everyone leaving dawn which leaves room for him to create his own squad. You know. Noble snobs not wanting to follow a peasant and all that.
Honestly, Dorothy was downplayed hardcore in this. I agree with everything else mostly, but Dorothy's magic seems like you have to be a very specific person to counter it. Like Yami's dimension slash. If it wasn't an elf version, then who would have been summoned to defeat her in her own dimension. That mere fact that it took the real Dorothy to beat elf one shows just how powerful her magic is. Also just because the elves have high mana, doesn't mean they will use the magic of people they overtook better than the originals. Since the originals would know everything about their magic whilst the elves wouldn't. I feel like Rill would decimate elf Rill purely because creativity is relative to the individual not to the magic, the elf doesn't have the creativity level of Rill and as such won't be able to create a solution to every problem that Rill could.
Just Chillin it makes a difference but I don’t think just creativity is going to overpower that much of a power amp. Also Dorothy was not downplayed. She didn’t even beat elven Dorothy, elven Dorothy couldn’t support all of the dreams so it shattered the world.
@@Br0ku Beat was probably the wrong term, maybe more like nullify her magic. I think I hold human Rill in a high regard since I read his fight with Yuno, and that's why I think Elven Rill wouldn't stand a chance. I like to think that fights can happen like in hunter x hunter, where you can be powerful but that's not all there is to it. I have high hopes for Rill and Yuno definitely with time they'd be the next top 3/4 captains assuming Yuno becomes one.

But that's because of the anime not doing so great in the start, had I not picked up the manga I probably wouldn't have been this invested in a series. Also will you be reviewing, discussing new anime and manga, like Kimetsu no yaiba, Jujutsu Kaisen, Dr. Stone. All are really good series. Can't wait for them to get animated.
I have said this before and I'll scream it from the hill tops, I believe human dorothy is more powerful than elf Dorothy. With dream magic it's how you use it not how much mana you have
Nice list, but I just have to say something; Yami was not losing to Patri/Licht. Patri even said that Yami had the power to beat him and Valtos and patri compared Yami's power to the Wizard king himself. Additionally, Patri would have won if not for gouche reflecting his most powerful attack, but Patri only did so because he had already taken a lot of damage from Yami and saw that none of his attacks were effective even when fighting at his best (As the rest of his magic was sealed). Moreover, that final attack was viewed as being deadly since Patri was putting nearly all the magic he still had into that attack, but we still don't know if it would have defeated Yami or not because, while Yami did not know of a spell to counteract the attack, he still stood determined and was ready to face it. Given that I would say that we can't fully determine whether Yami would have lost to Patri or not at that last attack especially with limit surpassing abilities. Plus, Yami had already outdone Patri several times before including tricking Patri into launching an attack that was caught in a black hole leading to Patri being completely paralyzed and incapable of fighting back. Finally, while Yami did receive some damage from fighting Patri, he never once showed any sign of exhaustion or desperation. None of the damage he took really affected him or his ability to fight and his composure showed that he was still calm while having no shortness of breath. Therefore, he was on par with Patri, with the ability to defeat him, and never really lost to Patri, but rather drove him to the point of having to rely on one attack powered by the rest of the mana he could use. Given that assessment, I would actually argue that Yami beat Patri in their fight and came out on top.
Patoli and Yami were pretty evenly matched for a while but Patoli wasn’t even fighting at his peak as seen in his fight with Julius if patoli had gone at Yami with the same level of seriousness that he did with Julius then Yami would have died as seen when Patoli used his spell that would have eradicated Yami and asta
-JKR- no he wasn’t but there was a vast difference in the level that patoli fought Yami with and what he fought Julius with it positive if that fight would have gone on much longer before Patoli tried to one shot them they would have destroyed that entire cave in their battle but it would really come down to which one will be able to land that decisive blow because with Yami’s darkness magic being the opposing force to Patoli’s light magic they were matched pretty well especially since Yami has done away with the biggest flaw of darkness magic by channeling it through his katana
Yami is not at all stronger than both Mereleona and Fuegoleon and here's why : Yami's Dark Magic is extremly mana-consuming and slow - that's why he utilises reinforcement magic on top of his great physique in order to keep his mana consumption on the low whilst fighting. Yami's greatest weakness is his stamina in prolonged fights not because he lacks it , but because of his magic's attribute. On the other hand , Mereleona and Fuegoleon have no stamina problems whatsoever and I'd say their vitality is one of the highest in the series. Having that in mind , they'd just exhaust Yami afterwhich they could easily defeat him.

I know mereleona is really strong and fuegoleon as well with his new found power but it's hard to see any captain that can break and soundly defeat Yami. Like you said his "Limit surpassing" is 5/5. That's a serious trait. 🤔 I'd say he's like Broly of DBS and Hulk of Marvel. He gets stronger every fight especially against a strong opponent. He will overcome the odds.
@@ved7816 dimensional slash would kill leona. Magic power is useless against it. Yami even held back against elven charlotte and yami almost killed her if he didn't limit the range so no. Everyone can lose to yami if they get hit with dimensional slash, about leona, there are other characters that can beat her in one v one. Yami is beatable but he has no losses so far. The problem with yami is his one skill that could kill anyone plus he surpasses his limits and evolves even further than leona. Leona has a higher chance of dying if they went all out, given that yami uses dimensional slash

WARNING: long explanation lol I think Rill is one of the most volatile characters to really place in regard of power. He can access all elements in order to side step elemental compatibility weaknesses and his biggest feat in a similar sense to Luck from the black bulls is that his power scales by his creativity, which is directly influenced by the power of the opponent. The stronger the opponent the stronger rill becomes. During his fight with Yuno, his inspiration while seeing yunos powerful magic was incrementing His power and creativity until he bursted his own crystal, so I think potentially the way Rill’s power works is that his magic power can go up to let’s say a 7 but magic control will simultaneously drop down closer to a 2 the higher his power goes. In this sense he can be closer to #1 while also being around #10. The nature of Rills powers isn’t something that changes the more mana you have, so elf rill just had more access to emit more painting creations but it is only as powerful as the creativity. So for example if Elf rill would in somehow fight regular rill, it would be like elf rill is fighting with a larger Canvas to paint on, but ultimately the winner will be the one with the most creativity/inspiration. So in a crazy sense even though Elf rill’s canvas is bigger because of more mana, regular rill may win if this inspires him to make a better more effective painting/spell. But because Black clover has a compatibility system similar to one piece it would be hard for rill to properly fight the former captain of the purple orcas, either because he has to always keep his distance or because it’s just not inspiring enough lol I still believe mereoleona is stronger than Fuegoleon, we have to remember that she is a character that is in tune with mana and nature, she doesn’t see with her eyes as much as her observations are intuitive and internal. She was able to see asta’s weakness and pointed out he doesn’t understand his own power. So with this in mind I believe her comments about fuegoleon isn’t about what his powers are currently but her acknowledgment of his potential ceiling. At his most he will likely surpass her, but as it stands she’s more like the Jiraiya character from Naruto who was crazy enough to fight more than 1 member of akatsuki and hold his own. I would put Yami and Fuegoleon closer together even with the fire spirit because of the Nature and rarity of Yami’s power. It isn’t elemental, and it is still growing with a capacity to rend and cut through dimensions?! There is much more than meets the eye with Darkness powers. And the captain of the Silver eagles has to display pretty soon in the manga why he is a captain to begin with, constantly Number 2 isn’t Something he can do just because he has a dumb braid on his face so we haven’t seen his real power.

This video was very well made and explained about the captain ranking. And I agree with everything you said in this video. A lot of like to wank character even though they had not shown any impressive feat yet. Yes, we can take author statement but if that statement is contradicted then its not reliable. Base on what we have seen so far, we can only speculate at how strong the captain is. But I think Fuegoleon would have been number 1 had we seen more feat from him.

TBH, Yami has a one hit move, so he can beat the top 2, unless he misses, then he’ll probably lose, so I’m not sure where he’d actually be compared to them because it depends if he hits it or not
Yes but it consumes a lot of mana plus the top two are clever enough to find a way out of it if he used it straight away. Plus salamander took a direct hit from asta’s anti-magic and survived so I think salamander can survive dark dimension slash which means mereoleona’s brother may defeat yami
Jack’s magic is insane because Jack’s magic cuts through concepts. Dante says that Jack is cutting through gravity to stand. This just makes Jack a menace because his cuts are essentially against any of the captains.
You keep saying Elvin form but it's not just a form Luck kept his power after asta saved him. Everyone affected by the elves will be stronger after possession. And all other captains will be stronger after fighting the elves. This balances it out everyone gets boosted

I slightly disagree. The dream world would be considered a dimension of it's own so we can hypothetically assume that Yami's Dark cloaked Dimension slash would be able to cut through it.
Nice finally someone get it and I'm agreeing on this list. But you didn't have thorough explanation about the comparison between elves and human in terms of using their magic and Charlotte(see last paragraph). However, even with the elf boost, the elves and human used their magic is not really comparable because elves only relies on their huge mana pool and powerful spells while humans' magic might be weaker than them but its complicated or stronger at the same time to counter, and don't forget strategy is also existing in the battlefield and the elves don't possess that kind of method, look how they defeat Elf Dorothy. For short, the way elves used their magic is out-dated. Read chapter 178 of how Zora explained that the elves didn't know the way of human used their magic and chapter 170 when Charla is about to depart. But geez truth be told... no one really bat an eye on Charlotte's magic is also being suppressed and degraded yet strong enough to go against Rhya. It's been 7 months i think since the chapter she'd become an elf and talks about her curse while fighting Yami, i just had thought if there's someone could ever put pieces together aside from me, but eh i found no one. Poor analyzation, i guess.
We saw the real her when the elf dreamed of her they said that was the real dorothy, so that shows how powerful the real dorothy actually is because the Real dorothy wouldnt have elf magic
Broku if you go on the official Viz translation it says that the dwarves had UNIQUE SKILLS not that they had similar powers to the elves and rill/lila says that cross breeds OCCASIONALLY could use two types of magic just wanted to clear that up

I am sorry but your top tier ranks I can't agree with. You put Mereoleona and Fuegoleon above Yami. They are probably equally or Yami has even the edge. Yami is fighting as a "samurai". With his Dark power, he would kill Patri. He just holds back and missed Patri vital points on purpose. When it comes to brute strength I don't see him losing against Mereoleona and Fuegoleon either. His dark dimension slash cuts everything and yes even the Salamander.
On the feats so far. Mereoleona has fought better elves than yami apart from licht and has held her own. If yami was put against three elves I don’t think dark dimension slash will work on all three and it will consume a lot of mana. Plus her use of mana zone puts her above yami
@@mfonessien2962 dimensional slash completely cuts the space in two. No magic could defend against it and that's a major ability. Also, so far yami hasn't lost in the entire arc, leona already lost. Heck even the nozel lost against a vice captain elf. While yami casually beat two vice captains turned elves and held back against charlotte with dimensional slash. He also fought against ratri who is patri's cousin alongside jack the ripper. Ratri is in no way weaker than the 3rd eyes, his magic is too powerful but yami with jack still beat ratri. Leona lost against rhya with 4 supporting elves. Lastly, yami's feats isn't a joke. Only people underestimating him, and about patri and the 3rd eyes, rhya took 1 hit against the devil while patri lasted longer, meaning that the third eyes isn't necessarily the strongest. Patri, ratri, the third eyes and some other major elves are the strongest. The third eyes are just the closes to licht and patri. Also, licht is the strongest elf. Yami having no losses proves the point that he is clearly the strongest captain or atleast equal to leona. He's more likely to beat or kill her with dimensional slash
The only adjustment you have to make to Rill (original) is that his butler said. “The stronger the opponent, the stronger and bigger his imagination becomes”
Didn't the real Dorthy match off against the Elven Dorthy though? That could imply that the level of mana doesn't make as much of a difference for a magic type like hers as for more conventional magic.
I actually completely agree with your list with the only exception being William over Rill, but that's just because of the length of time for casting on Qilliams end.
The fire siblings are kind of being overrated. Yami still hasn't lost and has the most wins in the elven arc. And there's no way to avoid his dimensional slash. Fights in black clover isn't decided solely by magic power either. I'd put yami at number 1, in terms of battle capabilities yami surpasses leona, yeah leona is beastly, but her attacks are too direct and she has lost in the past against the steel maiden and also lost this arc. Yami is kind of being underrated, he's dumb but he's intelligent in other ways with no losses as well

When real dorothy was summoned by the black bulls they were able to break free of the dream thanks to her, against the elven version of herself. *I do not think dorothy would win against jack, since his magic can cut anything including the dream. I would rank her above Jack but we have only seen her use one spell so i dont have a full complete grasp of her power. *Rill could probably win in a fight against captains above him, but again captains above him are just better at being captains

I agree with your list for the most part. Dorthy is a little questionable because her magic seems really good we just haven’t seen it yet. However I would have current yami higher the feg just because he’s just woken up with the fire spirt after the war he will definitely be better the mer at 1
What I want to see is how Jack the Ripper turned from a commoner to a very powerful magic Knight Captain. I mean besides Asta and Yuno(who are weird even among commoners), no other commoner is showing potential to be Captain level.

stupid list for so many reasons. i suggest u learn something from animeuproar and his take of the ranking, he gives better explanations........ Dorothy for instance is far to low on this list, she fought the elf on her own, head to head and they were bought equal and she was having fun. she could literally beat more than half of the captains in this list except yami and feuguleon
i wouldn't called the elf boost as a buff plus her curse will return anyway once the elf is freed because patolli stated "human curses" doesn't have connection to the elves and absolutely it didn't also lifted.

Additionally, Patri would have won if not for gouche reflecting his most powerful attack, but Patri only did so because he had already taken a lot of damage from Yami and saw that none of his attacks were effective even when fighting at his best (As the rest of his magic was sealed). Moreover, that final attack was viewed as being deadly since Patri was putting nearly all the magic he still had into that attack, but we still don't know if it would have defeated Yami or not because, while Yami did not know of a spell to counteract the attack, he still stood determined and was ready to face it. Given that I would say that we can't fully determine whether Yami would have lost to Patri or not at that last attack especially with limit surpassing abilities. Plus, Yami had already outdone Patri several times before including tricking Patri into launching an attack that was caught in a black hole leading to Patri being completely paralyzed and incapable of fighting back. Finally, while Yami did receive some damage from fighting Patri, he never once showed any sign of exhaustion or desperation. None of the damage he took really affected him or his ability to fight and his composure showed that he was still calm while having no shortness of breath. Therefore, he was on par with Patri, with the ability to defeat him, and never really lost to Patri, but rather drove him to the point of having to rely on one attack powered by the rest of the mana he could use. Given that assessment, I would actually argue that Yami beat Patri in their fight and came out on top.

Patoli and Yami were pretty evenly matched for a while but Patoli wasn’t even fighting at his peak as seen in his fight with Julius if patoli had gone at Yami with the same level of seriousness that he did with Julius then Yami would have died as seen when Patoli used his spell that would have eradicated Yami and asta

Yami is not at all stronger than both Mereleona and Fuegoleon and here's why : Yami's Dark Magic is extremly mana-consuming and slow - that's why he utilises reinforcement magic on top of his great physique in order to keep his mana consumption on the low whilst fighting. Yami's greatest weakness is his stamina in prolonged fights not because he lacks it , but because of his magic's attribute. On the other hand , Mereleona and Fuegoleon have no stamina problems whatsoever and I'd say their vitality is one of the highest in the series. Having that in mind , they'd just exhaust Yami afterwhich they could easily defeat him.

I know mereleona is really strong and fuegoleon as well with his new found power but it's hard to see any captain that can break and soundly defeat Yami. Like you said his "Limit surpassing" is 5/5. That's a serious trait. 🤔 I'd say he's like Broly of DBS and Hulk of Marvel. He gets stronger every fight especially against a strong opponent. He will overcome the odds.
On top of this, he has Darkness Power. This power has always been OP in any anime!

Everyone can lose to yami if they get hit with dimensional slash, about leona, there are other characters that can beat her in one v one. Yami is beatable but he has no losses so far. The problem with yami is his one skill that could kill anyone plus he surpasses his limits and evolves even further than leona. Leona has a higher chance of dying if they went all out, given that yami uses dimensional slash

I think Rill is one of the most volatile characters to really place in regard of power. He can access all elements in order to side step elemental compatibility weaknesses and his biggest feat in a similar sense to Luck from the black bulls is that his power scales by his creativity, which is directly influenced by the power of the opponent. The stronger the opponent the stronger rill becomes. During his fight with Yuno, his inspiration while seeing yunos powerful magic was incrementing His power and creativity until he bursted his own crystal, so I think potentially the way Rill’s power works is that his magic power can go up to let’s say a 7 but magic control will simultaneously drop down closer to a 2 the higher his power goes. In this sense he can be closer to #1 while also being around #10. The nature of Rills powers isn’t something that changes the more mana you have, so elf rill just had more access to emit more painting creations but it is only as powerful as the creativity.
So for example if Elf rill would in somehow fight regular rill, it would be like elf rill is fighting with a larger Canvas to paint on, but ultimately the winner will be the one with the most creativity/inspiration. So in a crazy sense even though Elf rill’s canvas is bigger because of more mana, regular rill may win if this inspires him to make a better more effective painting/spell. But because Black clover has a compatibility system similar to one piece it would be hard for rill to properly fight the former captain of the purple orcas, either because he has to always keep his distance or because it’s just not inspiring enough lol
I still believe mereoleona is stronger than Fuegoleon, we have to remember that she is a character that is in tune with mana and nature, she doesn’t see with her eyes as much as her observations are intuitive and internal. She was able to see asta’s weakness and pointed out he doesn’t understand his own power. So with this in mind I believe her comments about fuegoleon isn’t about what his powers are currently but her acknowledgment of his potential ceiling. At his most he will likely surpass her, but as it stands she’s more like the Jiraiya character from Naruto who was crazy enough to fight more than 1 member of akatsuki and hold his own. I would put Yami and Fuegoleon closer together even with the fire spirit because of the Nature and rarity of Yami’s power. It isn’t elemental, and it is still growing with a capacity to rend and cut through dimensions?! There is much more than meets the eye with Darkness powers. And the captain of the Silver eagles has to display pretty soon in the manga why he is a captain to begin with, constantly Number 2 isn’t

A lot of like to wank character even though they had not shown any impressive feat yet. Yes, we can take author statement but if that statement is contradicted then its not reliable. Base on what we have seen so far, we can only speculate at how strong the captain is. But I think Fuegoleon would have been number 1 had we seen more feat from him.

Nice finally someone get it and I'm agreeing on this list. But you didn't have thorough explanation about the comparison between elves and human in terms of using their magic and Charlotte(see last paragraph).
However, even with the elf boost, the elves and human used their magic is not really comparable because elves only relies on their huge mana pool and powerful spells while humans' magic might be weaker than them but its complicated or stronger at the same time to counter, and don't forget strategy is also existing in the battlefield and the elves don't possess that kind of method, look how they defeat Elf Dorothy. For short, the way elves used their magic is out-dated. Read chapter 178 of how Zora explained that the elves didn't know the way of human used their magic and chapter 170 when Charla is about to depart.
But geez truth be told... no one really bat an eye on Charlotte's magic is also being suppressed and degraded yet strong enough to go against Rhya. It's been 7 months i think since the chapter she'd become an elf and talks about her curse while fighting Yami, i just had thought if there's someone could ever put pieces together aside from me, but eh i found no one. Poor analyzation, i guess.

Yami is fighting as a "samurai". With his Dark power, he would kill Patri. He just holds back and missed Patri vital points on purpose.
When it comes to brute strength I don't see him losing against Mereoleona and Fuegoleon either.
His dark dimension slash cuts everything and yes even the Salamander.
On the feats so far. Mereoleona has fought better elves than yami apart from licht and has held her own. If yami was put against three elves I don’t think dark dimension slash will work on all three and it will consume a lot of mana. Plus her use of mana zone puts her above yami
Also salamander survived a direct hit from asta’s anti-magic sword so I think salamander can survive dark dimension slash
@@mfonessien2962 dimensional slash completely cuts the space in two. No magic could defend against it and that's a major ability. Also, so far yami hasn't lost in the entire arc, leona already lost. Heck even the nozel lost against a vice captain elf. While yami casually beat two vice captains turned elves and held back against charlotte with dimensional slash. He also fought against ratri who is patri's cousin alongside jack the ripper. Ratri is in no way weaker than the 3rd eyes, his magic is too powerful but yami with jack still beat ratri. Leona lost against rhya with 4 supporting elves. Lastly, yami's feats isn't a joke. Only people underestimating him, and about patri and the 3rd eyes, rhya took 1 hit against the devil while patri lasted longer, meaning that the third eyes isn't necessarily the strongest. Patri, ratri, the third eyes and some other major elves are the strongest. The third eyes are just the closes to licht and patri. Also, licht is the strongest elf. Yami having no losses proves the point that he is clearly the strongest captain or atleast equal to leona. He's more likely to beat or kill her with dimensional slash

The fire siblings are kind of being overrated. Yami still hasn't lost and has the most wins in the elven arc. And there's no way to avoid his dimensional slash. Fights in black clover isn't decided solely by magic power either. I'd put yami at number 1, in terms of battle capabilities yami surpasses leona, yeah leona is beastly, but her attacks are too direct and she has lost in the past against the steel maiden and also lost this arc. Yami is kind of being underrated, he's dumb but he's intelligent in other ways with no losses as well

Reason i think Dorothy needs more credit is because dream magic is not as reliant on ammount of mana then most magic types so i dont think her being an elf changed much. When real dorothy was summoned by the black bulls they were able to break free of the dream thanks to her, against the elven version of herself.
*I do not think dorothy would win against jack, since his magic can cut anything including the dream. I would rank her above Jack but we have only seen her use one spell so i dont have a full complete grasp of her power.
