Özlem Tekin is always the most distinctive and free Turkish rock-metal artist. and she was alienated from music because she did not bow to music cartels. Ozlem's songs have been banned so that Sebnem will rise even more. Unfortunately, she eventually stopped making music. she is a very good actress by the way. has appeared in many movies. Fun fact: All lyrics of the album of Kargalar (Crows) belong to Özlem Tekin, and the reason why this album is of incredible quality in terms of content is that the post production of the album belongs to Jens Bogren, who has worked with the best metal bands in the worlds such as opeth, katatonia, symphony x, amon amarth, soilwork, paradise lost, sepultura and james labrie (dream theater). Rest of all songs in the album are badass.

Şebnem Ferah founded the all-female rock band "Volvox" in 1998. Özlem Tekin joined the group in 1992. The group disbanded in 94. Özlem Tekin released her first album in 1996. Şebnem Ferah continued her journey alone and she released her own album in 96. By the way, I was just starting 8th grade. 🤗
Volvox was how it was spelled as i know.

By the way, the back vocal is also famous in Turkey. His name is Doğuş and he sings mostly arabesque-pop style. I think it is such a great mesh up and the feeling reminds me "desert rose" in that way.

This is a powerful song. But Özlem is something different. Some peopla say that she is better than Şebnem Ferah because she did so many different and uniq sounds but Şebnem never changed or tried to do something new or specific to her and some people just enjoy the music.
Özlem's every single album is different than the others. She tried so much different sounds. She did techno, RnB, hip hop, pop, rap and rock. Of course she is a metal head but as i said she tried so many genres just because she wanted so. That was not a search for a musical sound or career. Finally she gave up on music. She is in a village now living with ducks and shit and she owes me a çilingir sofrası hahah. ( a traditional Turkish alcohol table with Rakı and lot of appetizers)
Say It in a short way Özlem is not a rocker but Şebnem is always a rocker. Changing genres is not always a good thing.

some rough translation. When there is talk of Özlem Tekin there is inevitably a comparison to Şebnem Ferah. I like them both, I think Özlem is kind of more rebellious, up to your face, sometimes controversial figure.
