Whenever I go to mount tvs or do a layout for can lights I find it practical to use blue painter tape. I stick a piece roughly where I want to make a mark then I pencil a mark on the tape. It’ll come off without messing up the wall or ceiling!
Same here. I don't like marking directly on walls. Make a mistake, just peel off the tape and try again. I also use the CH Hanson magnetic stud finder and will use pieces of painters tape to mark the stud locations. Painters tape comes in handy.
Loving that selection, best of Made in USA, Germany and of course Japan. Just FYI, you can get those bondhus ball drivers that have a shaft like 3x longer than that one, I use them at work sometimes, they have their uses every now and then, but that standard length 3 mm is always with me
Best tool bags on the market I’ve got the 4.0 and have just bought the 2.0 I use the 4.0 for heating installation and the 2.0 will be used for my oil boiler maintenance and possibly a gab bag just about every heating engineer over here in the U.K. has a velocity bag the best👍🏻
Have you ever tried a veto, you get a tape clip lol just kidding. Looks like a nice bag and its well thought out. I just cant see the fidlock straps taking all that weight, id feel really nervous of them
I am in high end AV as well and love my Vito MCT but feel that it could be a tiny bit bigger and have a few more pockets. This looks perfect. How much did they charge you for shipping and was it via air or boat?
I have no idea what the shipping cost was. I got it within 3 days of them shipping it, so my guess is Air. You have to reach out to them via email, and they will provide a shipping quote based on your location.
@@scottstoolthoughts3190 great thanks. I just sent them an email. Would love to see how you set up your MB3. I just picked one up but haven’t used it yet. Also can you post a link to your little emergency parts bin. I have an Akro 050705 but Yours looks cool
Nice tour on the bag and your tools. Are you from the United States. I'm very interested in the bag, but they don't show shipping here. What was your shipping cost?
I like the IDEA of those magnetic screw finders to locate the studs BUT I they would still make marks on the wall by running it over a painted surface. and you would have to run it over more of the wall as a normal stud finder looks for the stud not the screw. Its compact so it has that going for it.
As long as you keep the back clean, they don't leave marks. You could always put some painters tape on the back, if you have that happening. I've had much better luck with the magnetic stud finders than the electronic ones.
@@scottstoolthoughts3190 Nice one Scott thanks for that. I have since aquired a Velocity rogue 6.0 Second hand. Its far too heavy for me. I am now keen to downsize. I would've been better offwith something smaller like the velocity 9.0
I see on their website the weight is 9.5lb. Any idea what the weight is without the backpack straps and pad? I love the layout but I’m afraid the weight may be a dealbreaker. Any thoughts??
Do you do much Megabit networking with Cat6? What do you use to crimp your Cat5e/Cat6 patch cables? Does it have a guide for proper placement? Cheat sheet per day?
@Tyguy80s I think what I meant by placement is, do you know of a crimper that tells you were to put the wires according to the cable your installing I guess...I don’t know.. was kinda drunk when I wrote that... lol
I was about to but a veto bag until I watched this video now I decided to go with the same 9.0 but there out of stock! I shot them a email to see if they will have e more any time soon and how much to have shipped to new jersey. I have the milwaukee jobsite backpack but I don't like it. The veto bags seem a little more expensive and built a little different from the velocity and not for the better but are good bags I heard. Great video, hopefully they will have more of the 9.0's and soon! What are the best front screw extraction pliers in your opinion..... just subscribed to your channel!
Well, that sucks! Nothing worse than not being able to find something you want. I use the Engineer screw extraction pliers, but lately I’m loving the Knipex Twin Grips. Have a good one!
They used to ship here directly. I don’t know what changed, but if you want one, you have to email them directly and request a shipping quote to your part of the United States. Be prepared , I have heard that it is very expensive shipping. To me, the bag is well worth it.
@@scottstoolthoughts3190 Toolmonster ships to the US, it's one of their partners, even with shipping it was a few bucks cheaper than what I paid for the Veto Tech Pac MC.
Wow! That was amazing Scott! You have that Rogue totally decked out! Amazing organization! Thanks!!!!
Thank You Sir! I might have a bit of OCD…
Thank you, great tour and a nice assortment of tools. Stay safe!

Great video, I was curious what company you ordered it from because I'm trying to get one but velocity doesn't ship to the US on their website
You have to go to their website, email them a request for shipping quote to the U.S.
Good bag of tools
Slightly different from England but really enjoyed this video
That’s a nice bag but very heavy with all the tools

Blue painters tape on the wall side of the finder. Replace before use
