Suggestion if you need to take a break: bring your top string down but don't bring the bottom one up. This way you'll know exactly where you left off and won't mess up your pattern if you're using more than one colour.
@@AlexInnovations go to www.friendship-bracelets.net and on the search bar type in k752 it’s a 40 strand kumihimo pattern that reads I ❤️U but you will need to make an 80 slot kumihimo disk in order to make this pattern, hope you like the pattern.
I have found that using a kumihimo weight significantly improves the finished look of a kumihimo. It provides even tension so the braid looks a lot more consistent and neat. Although not necessary, it is nice to have when you make a lot of them lol
i just made my first kumihimo! i bought a kumihimo disk right after i saw this video for the first time. ik you said they don’t take you that long but i was super surprised at how fast i finished mine. it’s super cute, thank you so much for this tutorial :)
hi alex!!! i love your videos and your bracelets. can you make a short tutorial sometime explaining how to fasten a bracelet with the loop at the top? i made one the other day for the first time and all the videos currently up about the topic are not very clear and my bracelet won’t stay fastened.
I've gotten one of those rings in a string pack and I never tried to use it. Thanks to this video, now I will! Are there other types of bracelets you can make with it that are as simple as this one?
Rule of thumb is to cut your threads three times longer than you want your finished braid to be. Six times if you're doubling them up like in the video.
@@AlexInnovations thats true! Destroy the clipboard and screw the clip to the edge of the table 🤣 just kidding 🤣 I think you either have back pain or no back pain
Idea: you should make one with a tie-dye string 🤔
Yes! That’s sounds so cool!!!
Ya good idea

I can't explain how much this video has helped me. Before I saw this, I kept on getting confused and it was really hard. Thank you Alex!!!!

Before I bought an actual kumihimo weight, I used a very large Nut that I tied my strings to… it worked quite well…
Love this bracelet and so happy I already had the foam disk!!
Smart loop!

friendship-bracelets.net as some patterns, most of them aren't very simple tho
Oooo, could you do this with DMC or Loops and Threads color shifting string?
I love it
Love it already 💕
thank you!
I had no idea that you can loop them.
Well, I know what my next bracelet would be.
These are so cute Alex I love them ❤️
Love it!
Hi! What is the string? Floss? Maybe u have a link for it 🙏💓

If I were to make a choker necklace how long would each of the strings be?
hmm... this one was about 1m before folding in half for a 6” bracelet.. chokers are typically 12”, so figure 2m and then fold in half ;)

I've never made one of these, but I really want to. Do you know where I can find that circle thing that you used??
there’s a link in the description :)

Is this a pattern on bracelet book?
can you pleasee make a tutorial on pattern #71551🥺🥺 i’ve tried to figure out how to segment knot it but couldn’t ;(
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
maybe u should do a tutorial on #31210 i feel like a lot of ppl would make it
You could lay the clipboard on the table and tape it down 🤔
i was thinking of that! but im not used to knotting that way, and my back would hurt after 5 min 😅 not ideal for hours of filming

Yay!
