When I first played Mortal Kombat Trilogy at 8 yrs old I loved the Bank track right away. As soon as you hear the announcer say “Fight!” as the track starts you know it’s about to go down. I love every part of that track. Outstanding job with this remake. The guitars sound a lot darker in this than the original. Also, I prefer this track being played on Jade’s Desert rather than the Rooftop track because of the guitars. Those guitars sound like what you’d hear in a actual song about the desert if you ask me. That track will never get old.
Agreed, it definitely doesn't suit the rooftop!
I wasn't 100% sold on this track at first, but it really grew on me over the years! Dan Forden managed to make the setting of a Chicago bank sound eerie and dark 🤣. I did record a layer of heavier guitars to make it sound grittier, but I agree; that melody suits the desert!

@@eurke one more thing about the Rooftop track. That being played over Jade’s Desert gives me a weird taste in my mouth. Doesn’t seem right. Like I said earlier that track doesn’t fit that stage. Anyone who thinks otherwise are no friends of mine.

@Tony Ojiambo Well, MK2 will always be my favourite because of the music and art direction.
As a whole, I'd have to say Trilogy; because it has the best of all the 2D games.
However, Deception has an awesome story mode.
MK11 visually looks the best, MKX has the smoothest gameplay. What about you?

Ya, I can definitely redo them. I'll probably do it the same way I did this trilogy version, a little slower and darker.
MK was so much more awesome when it was more leaning on horror themes. I also love it since it also never took itself so seriously Only MK can do that lol.
Just picture shoa Khan staring through a portal shang tusng at his feet beaten...Lui Kang staring right back bloody and angrily through the portal...Khans face shrouded under the mask the rest of the Kombatants gather behind liu to stare back...Khan clenches his fist and tsung turns to crawl away- hand stretch towards Lui... and Khans swipes away all of shang tsung souls back from him... manifests a spear and chuks it... as the portal closes....
