What a brilliant piece of sportsmanship by Mark at 10:00! He declared a tag even before the ref did, though he knew it would cost them the match.

The athletes don't see any timer iirc, he had no idea if he had been caught before the 13 sec mark or not. Still great sportsmanship to declare the tag before the ref does!

There's no reason to whine about a tag or pretend it didn't happen if you know you were tagged. It's not really good sportsmanship, it's just not running around the arena after you know you've lost. These athletes do all see very courteous and nice, but like I just think it's weird you're surprised they would stop evading after they know they were tagged. Most of the chases stop before the buzzer goes off if the tag is made. It's not like anyone is going to pretend it didn't happen unless they legitimately didn't feel getting tagged.

I really hope this tradition of integrity keeps on as WCT progresses. It's the unspoken code of the game every athlete should honor.

Mark, Ethan, Frank, Ashlee, WenXin and Jay. I like the first three the most. They are so good to bring the team to the top 4. Then they have the only woman in the game. We all know there is a physical diff between men and women. A salute to Ashlee to be on the team.

Watching this, I just can't wait until there's a WCT All Star match because that's what this match made me feel. At least in the beginning, it felt kind of half speed, but more creative and fun in their movements. Which is why if their is ever an all star match, I want to submit making it a 32 chase match instead of the standard 16, for maximum exposure to all WCT athletes.
And also super sad I still have to wait ANOTHER week for the WCT USA Finals!! It'll be worth it tho :)) Mad props to GNF and APK Grey for their finish!

Nicely done to everyone in the tournament, it's kind of fitting that the third place game was this close.
That begs the question though, how many decimals does overtime go to, cause as the level of skill gets closer, there likely will be a point where teams tie to the 1/10th of a second.
Also, I hope that everyone was either fine or heals quickly.

This is a matchup that had really great potential... But it felt sloppy. There were a lot of mistakes on both sides, the larger ones being on GNF. Lots of tumbles from their athletes. I don't know why that would be except maybe both sides not taking this match 100% seriously. That would also explain why APKG fielded their entire roster and both sides matched weaker players to weaker players.
I did love the sportsmanship in this match though! Lots of wholesome 100% moments like the collective drumroll at the end.
Mark Bowles didn't have a great performance here and I think it's largely due to his decision making. He made a lot of weird choices on the quad, though they may have been forced by his chaser being faster than he was, as was the case each time this match.
I'm glad we got this match and that the athletes had fun. It didn't feel as competitive as many of the other matches this tournament, but that has its own benefits.
