You are right! She was sad that she messed up and didn't beat Chen Yuxi. Diving is so unpredictable. One small mistake and you can say goodbye to your best performance and gold medal.

Thanks for commenting! She went "over" when she did her 207c tuck.. Sometimes diver do this mistake when in practice they are working on the same dive in pike position.. That makes me think that she might be working on a 207B to compete in Paris at the Olympics... She is so good and still so young!

I wonder if the girls are learning their 207B instead of C and that is why her dive finished over. This kind of mistake is typical when a diver is learning the dive in pike after having competed it in tuck for a long time

Seguro es más difícil la competencia nacional que los olímpicos para los Chinos.
Definitivamente! Y cada 4 anos tienen los National Games, donde participan todos los mejores clavadistas de china inclusive los que no compiten ya internacionalmente pero todavia competen adentro del pais (los que ganaron los Olimpicos y mundiales). Aparentemente dicen que esa competicion es la mas dificil de todas y ganarla les dan mucho poder!

¿Por qué sólo hay 2 competidoras chinas en el mundial de clavados en los 10 metros?
Hay nuevas reglas este ano, y para poder competir a este mundial los clavadistas tenian que calificarse con puntos el ano pasado, y despues con lugares en las primeras 2 competiciones de este ano (en China y en Canada).. Te dire que las reglas sorprenden un poco... Tan poquitos clavadistas pudieron calificarse que no parece ser un mundial. Ne me sorprenderia si cambiaran esas reglas para el ano que viene .. o por lo menos despues de los juegos de Paris. Lo que pasaba es que antes tenian demasiadas competencias internacionales (Grand Prix... Diving Series...) ... Pero fueron de un extremo al otro. Puede ser que me equivoque pero asi es como lo entiendo. Gracias por tu pregunta!
