Patton slapped the soldier. He didn’t beat him up.
Nice coin. Patton is one of my favorite Americans in history.
Bonus marchers, shameful
Ours too!
He'd be rolling in the grave if he saw America and Europe now
Respect. 🫡
I heard Berlin but it wasn’t the commander I expected 😁
Absolutely beautiful coins. Good job guys👍
OMG..... Insanely Amazing Coins !!!
My favorite mint!!! Now they have a new location in Casper Wyoming.
Would love to see Robert E Lee in this series!
If they dare, Lee would be a logical and terrific choice for one of these coins. Seconded!
Rommel next!
General Lee would sell out overnight
Was hoping to get that email letting me know it was coming out... Great Commander can't wait for the next one... I kinda feel like there's gonna be a MacArthur coming soon...
Super excited! We're ecstatic about the poster as well. Our creative team had a blast crafting it! What's your favorite Patton quote?
"Moral courage is the most valuable and usually the most absent characteristic in men."
"We've defeated the wrong enemy"
Scottsdale mint has the most beautiful pieces in the world. But, sorry, the Lion of Judah vortex silver bar is unbeatable. ✝️❤️
Thank you!
@@shazam3360 Germania does make beautiful stuff. But, many mints make something I find gorgeous. I don't love everything Scottsdale produces but they do have many that totally grab me with their appeal.
Beautiful piece
Stunning!
Cool info, thanks! My grandfather was his physician in Heidelberg when he was murdered.
Awesome coin👍🥈
Patton was right...
🚨🚨🚨I got mine 💪 Can’t wait till it arrives.
Great series!! Loved Napoleon
Yes, I understood 9 AM CST but at 7:15 AM Upon pulling up the link, it became able to order, and I was shocked!!!!!😮
Very cool. Can’t wait to get one. Love my napoleon.
Ditto. I think the Napoleon coin is a bit nicer and I was trying to figure out why. I think I've arrived at an answer tho, using the pictures of the Patton coin cuz I haven't received mine yet. First, on the Napoleon coin, the hat and hair is much more ornate. Much more detail. Also, the name has more letters which adds more "complexity" to the appearance. Finally, the background on the Napoleon coin is "textured", it's a bit "wavey" or something. From the pictures of the Patton coin, it seems less impressive because the helmet is very plain (no problem with that, I presume it's at least somewhat historically accurate). The name is shorter, fewer letters. And the background appears to be "smoother". All these differences cause the Patton coin to have a more "simplistic" appearance. Still intend to collect the series, however. Unless they're not really observing the minting numbers they've advertised. Cuz now, they're again selling 5oz Napoleons after being "sold out" for many weeks.
Got one with a poster and a regular one. 5 oz silver
thanks for the video........
I love the Napoleon coin and poster and am looking foreword to collecting the whole coin series with the posters!
I'd definitely add the posters to my purchase if they were $20. But, for what they're fetching, well... nah. I'll buy the coin, not the package. Both posters were stunning, I'll give 'em that. And, I've heard they're on stock that is not your average poster. But still. If I collect the whole series, it's gonna take a whole lotta wall space. But, dayem, they are stunning. Accurate? Can't say, not even sure I care.
Should have quoted him "We fought the wrong enemy"... I'd have bought it.
Likewise
🪖 Y E S‼️👌🏼
Have been waiting for this one!🔥
Patton was entirely badass. Must have!
I loved the advance notice and youtuber community reviews for the Napoleon release... I was totally caught off guard on this one. Also, i was under the impression that if you bought in to the series early, you'd get a 24 hour head start on your order.
I know! I get all their other "specials" and updates and got no notice about this. Purely by LUCK, I chanced on this video. Picked up two of 'em this morning; one is for my buddy who is also hooked on the series. I sure hope the capsules are a little nicer on this round. Many had a circular blemish - right over Napoleon's face - on the first release. Mine had that and I've seen it on various YT vids discussing the Napoleon release as well. I mean, c'mon.
You guys should do Hannibal. The guy who rode into Rome with 20,000 troops and war elephants. Even after his death for centuries Roman’s would say “Hannibal is at the gates” in reference to an emergency or disaster. Another great suggestion for American commanders is Curtis Lemay. He modernized strategic bombing and reshaped the ways wars are won. After world war 2 he came up with a war plan to bomb 70 Soviet cities with 148 atomic bombs over the course of a week or so. No other man in history was more ready to fight world war 3. Titles such as “Bomb them back to the stone ages” was attributed to Lemay. I suppose that mindset led to overwhelming peace.
My Dad was in a radio unit attached to the Big Red One and landed on D Day in second wave then later the battle of the bulge eventually seeing the crimes committed at Buchenwald.
picked up 20 of em
Awesome
woohoo!
Cool thing, really.
Hannibal, Cesar, George Washington, Teddy Rosavelt, Alexander, so many cool options
Genghis Khan?
@jaybarr3307 damn right, Genghis Khan, he ought to be a shoe in.
IMO, they will avoid the American Civil War because the usual suspects will get their panties twisted into more knots than Carter has liver pills. Just thinking out loud here:
Julius Caeser
Alexander of Macedonia
Andrew Jackson
Admiral Horatio Nelson
John Paul Jones
Claire Chennault
Sitting Bull
Leonidas of Sparta
Saladin
Yamamoto
Chesty Puller
Manfred von Richtofen
Douglas MacArthur
Erwin Rommel (any WWII German is going to be CONTROVERSIAL, he is one of the few German commanders with "clean hands:)
Norman Schwartzkopf
Sun Tzu
Eisenhower
I seem to recall they said there would be twenty in all. I have my Napolean, the Patton is ordered, I await further developments...
Did I miss the time of when it will be released tomorrow? I bought the Napoleon and don’t want to miss out. 😬
These will be launching tomorrow (2/21) around 10:00 am EST. Thank you for your business!
They didn't announce the time, but on Napoleon, it was 9am central when it went live.
@@lizachat2608 I asked SD Bullion. 9 AM Central. I was going to say 2PM, but I just couldn't!🤣🤣🤣
Bahahaha 😂😂
I appreciate your guilty conscience 😅
I work second shift and really hope they do not sell out before I wake up.
Why no capsules included for the 1/10oz gold coins???
Agreed. The Commander series, and the Awakening series come with them. It would be a cherry on top to encapsulate the 1/10 also.
I bought a capsule for the 1/10 Napoleon, but it does not fit very well.
Very cool set with the poster though. I am happy to have them.
When you gonna release that other commander that was in Berlin?
I'm expecting them to do a Douglas MacArthur at some point. He would be an iconic profile figure.
Temujin/Genghiz Khan and Sun Tzu….will be anticipating, and please consider Jeanne d’Arc.
I never got my poster from the poster bundle. Did anyone ever get the poster ? I ordered 5 5oz coins and 1 5oz poster bundle. Was told it would be shipped separately, but when ???
Apologies here. They went out a long time ago. Please email us at sales@sdbullion.com so we can look into this and get it rectified. Thank you!
@@sdbullion I just called.
Did anyone get their poster because mine has not shown up yet
it is "TOMORROW where can I order now? my late husband shook hands with Patton when stationed in Germany at the time .
That's incredible.
Don’t see the Patton on website ?
Will be live tomorrow morning!
@@SDBullionCEO will be ready
Thank you!
It launched today. I just ordered one. They did not advertise it on their main page. Just type "Commander" in the search bar
should have made the helmet purple.
Does anyone know what time tommorow?
Approximately 10am EST
9 am central time.
Puzzled that SDB now has 5oz Napoleon coins back on sale. What gives? I mean, I'm glad for those that wanna go back and grab one. But, if this is a limited release of 5,000 coins, and they sold out quickly, how are they for sale again? Nothing says they aren't "new" on the web page. I don't understand that and still hoping the limited release numbers are for real.
I was wondering the same exact detail! You paid the above spot premium because of the limited mintage and now more coins are produced?
Exactly, as soon as I saw that I completely changed my mind on the series. Not only that they jacked up the price to by like 100 bucks.
@@LarryBird2233 Yesterday, the site wouldn't let me put more than ten Napoleon coins in my cart. Today, it let me add 15. So their inventory has risen on a coin they've been sold out of for many weeks. Lucy has some 'splainin' to do. If the minting numbers are BS, I will stop collecting this series which'll kill me cuz I've been in love with it.
I should add that I was considering adding the 1/10th ounce gold coins to the collection. But I ain't doin' bupkis until I hear whether the limited minting numbers are for real.
It’s called a helmet son. Duh!
Patton was murdered which should have been mentioned in this video as well
3:00 Use gloves outa respect.
Noted. I made sure it ended up in my personal collection though so we’re good on that one! 🫡
Hey SD ??? Can I purchase the Napoleon 5oz silver coin ??? Will you help me ???🌎🗿™️
They have ten 5oz Napoleon's in stock right now, although the price is over $200.
Meh... Have you heard of the Bonus Army? McAuthur and Patton turned on their own veterans in Washington DC. I'll rather have a Smedley Butler coin. Or a Marshall Zhukov coin...
I agree about Smedley Butler - Semper Fi - I do like Patton though especially sense I was in the 3rd Tank Battalion in the Marines in VietNam. I would have bought the coin and poster IF they would have looked at least a little bit like Patton. The helmet looks all wrong and the poster is NOT even remotely looks like Patton. That's a deal breaker for me. Sorry
The edge looks like a poor finish
I think it’s the open collar edge. The Napoleon coin in the series had the same edge.
The video explained the edge was made that way on purpose.
the edge is smooth, similar to their stacker rounds sdbullion.com/5-oz-scottsdale-mint-stackable-silver-round
Going to Berlin for Patton??? ok I guess, Why not film in Luxembourg where he was laid to rest. and there are not that many people alive that can recall Gen Patton. just saying, speaking as veteran, I will also say its a nice coin.
Betting they had other business there and used it to their advantage. Appropriate enough imho.
All teams were in Berlin for the World Money Fair.
Patton lost all respect in my book when I found out he led the attack on the bonus army
I believe that was a punishment assignment for him being too over the top on something else.
@@Freakshow0315 Read the book, Target Patton (Wilcox) to learn the true story.
And Douglas McArthur
Can we please celebrate PEACE instead? I hate that thing. It's ugly. Celebrating the wrong thing.
Sheez... Someone's got his knickers in a twist.
I would have bought the coin and poster IF they would have looked at least a little bit like Patton. The helmet looks all wrong and the poster is NOT EVEN REMOTELY looks like Patton. That's a deal breaker for me. Sorry
