I think this is my new favorite iteration of The Joker. Really tugs at your heartstrings; you can't help but want to be his friend, because you can hear how he's _really trying,_ struggling to fit in with society.
Same
We live in a society
Bottom text
I love John too!
I agree.
He has good intentions, and we have to focus on that.
I don't have the heart to disrespect john tbh
Phillip Homburg me neither
Same
Same
who tf does anyway
I love being a dick to him.
Out of any joker and Batman the telltale series Batman and joker friendship is my most favourite
Usually both are enemies but in this they can become best buddies
Joker's actions so precious why could anyone hurt hum and make him to a evil psycopath he didnt do anything to deserve that
Umm wasn't he a massive bully?
@@angelface8210 no he wasn't
@lazy dude you cant use conventional social rules for people like John who struggle with them, not everyone works the same way, so why should you use the exact same standards you would use of someone who is wired completely different, you wouldn't say a cat is incapable because it cant fly, you would say its a cat. The same with human beings, some struggle with typical society, so why would you say they're lesser or incapable because of that?? If for example, someone has autism and as a side effect cant express their emotions in a typical sense you wouldn't say they're wrong for it or bad, you'd simply use a different empathy style.
when John said it was his first time in funeral, and Bruce face softens, I lost it.
That's adorable! Thanks for pointing it out. I love John.
I loved Telltales take on the Joker and Batmans relationship. In the comics or the shows, the Joker either already exist or was created during their first meeting. If Bruce had met "John" under these circumstances than he would not abandon John. He would try everything in his power to save him.
7:24 _GASP_ *"THAT CRIMINAL! RUDE?! TO MY JOHN?!"*
Ame tu comentario :D
Yandere Waring's 🤣
This whole game is just people giving you super judgmental looks for befriending someone with mental health issues and I frankly don't appreciate it.
Well it’s not like it’s unrealistic. A lot of people have strong prejudices against people with mental issues and disabilities and would be quite judgmental towards anyone who has or has befriended someone with these issues. It can actually be quite beneficial for media to highlight these issues in society as the only way to grow past it and solve the problems in society is to recognize them. (BTW this comment is not meant to come off as me being an asshole. Sorry if I annoyed or upset you!)
@@Ridge310 i think you're right, but the tone of writing is also important. Even though i loved the game, the tone of scenes befriending John in public is sometimes comedic in an uncomfortable way... If you get what I mean.
I see no malicious intent from the writers, but I can also see how some players could have sympathized with John deeper than his writers could. I guess the OP is one of them.
Even in the nice options Bruce treats John like he views him as a lesser person
@@eldercunninghamirl I wouldn't say that he treats him as less of a person, but he does have an air of superiority about him. Which I kinda like because it's painted as a general character flaw on Bruce's part. One which John kinda calls him out on during the scene at the funhouse.
Like, it's obvious Bruce is humouring him at best to start with and trying to manipulate him at worse, but as it goes on, you can see their interactions getting slightly more casual as Bruce warms up to him.
@@Ridge310 Agree. We need more pieces of media where people with mental health issues just exist without the plot focussing on the fact that they have mental health issues.
6:48 Bruce is smiling a little at their wefie. I think John did make Bruce feel a bit better here.
Bruce would have said “I don’t want anything to do with them” or put that away since it’s a funeral.
I LOVE THE FACT THAT TELLTALE JOKER CANONICALLY USES EMOTICONSSS
The Game really challenges you to read deeply between the lines and overcome your prejudices against the mentally ill and the criminals.
Actually those people at the pact ( Bane and Mr Freeze) aren’t mentally ill they are just a bunch of sociopaths. But I can’t decide on Harley whether she is psychopath or a sociopath.
@@mghwd2513 how is mr freeze a sociopath?? isn't he one of the more sympathetic batman villains
"At least he went out with a BANG, right?"
1:33
I kind of hope the put it away option is gentle. "John, buddy, no. I'll do it later, but selfies aren't exactly appropriate at funerals.
Yeah, that way he would be conscientious of others and we could still uphold our friendship, thats what I would do in real life. Which is why it makes upset that you cant...
That's some fanfic material right here 😂
Canon story in my heart. Batman & Joker as friends for life.
@@MagSnapShots only Friend huh...
John: People Get Upset at The Littlest Things!
Me: This is the first time I agree with John...
Me too
8:20 That's the moment he starts using John :'(
I love to see john being john not the joker.
Awwwwww but he’s trying!
Poor sad John Doe. :,(
I think you just need to reason with Joker/John . It's thoughts that makes him crazy
John where are you NOW!!!😭
In jail brother
He looks like Willem Dafoe
Willem Dafoe looks like Joker.
UwU esto vuelve a la pulga tan feliz!!!
John is definitely on the spectrum IMO
This john is a joker
But he change right
Did mark hamill voice as the joker again?
Nope
it should be John BRO
I think John called Tiffany hot
When where and how and why
@@privatedchannel8084 john was talking to tiffany and then told bruce that "this might be a closed casket, but by the genes, I can tell the guy was a looker", basically saying that tiff was good looking as well. didn't catch that?
@@privatedchannel8084 also, because you asked when: 2:27
I like this one
Hes so obnoxious
Kinda endearing tho.
Yeah, but that's why I love him. And you got to think, he's meantlly not well, and he trys to be normal
John is just like me 😂😂
