The lack of hardware running on a test bench is what really tips me off. We've seen nothing of the sort from Alejandro. Not even an open software terminal or laptop. Nothing. That tells me it's a scam more than anything else.
I haven't watched the video yet but I think a conversation needs to be had of why so many people in the retro community are way too willing to pay for things sight unseen or why they are way too willing to believe in any idea given to them. The Video Game industry as a whole got as far as it did because people are way too willing to let these companies get as far as they do.
How many people alone in EU are into classic games, what do you think? Maybe it's a million, it's at least tens of thousands right? So hey 300 people falling for shit like that isn't actually that bad.

Alejandro is the gift that keeps on giving (not). Actually if I could program a Sega MD, it might make a great game. Where in the World is Alejandro Martin? You hunt for him with clues, get into a car chase and finally have a showdown with him and a guitar, sort of like Deliverance, and you retrieve the bag of money and give it back to all the gullible "investors". Ah well, I am sure someone could make a better script than that for the game.
Yeah, everybody will have their money back, the credit card holders will return it. The problem is that the payments platform (Stripe) will go after Alejandro. The scam was not against buyers, but against the Stripe from the beginning, that's why he recommended people to do a chargeback instead of doing refunds.
If anyone didn't already see this as a scam 1000 miles away and ignored all the warnings on youtube, they deserve to lose their money to this grifter. Nothing else needs to he said.
It is interesting that on the screenshot showing the negative balance, right below it there is a note stating that there are 3 disputes which were not answered. I wonder if those disputes are from people requesting a refund. Also, it would not surprise me if Alejandro shows up on a Caribbean island as Alejandra. 🤣🤣🤣
Alejandro didn't disappear. He invited me to Spain and we have been at Ibiza for the past week partying and driving his Lambo around the island. A couple reps from Sega were flown out too. Alejandro told us we get to take a tour of the factory where the SPGAs are being produced next. Then he's taking us to Disneyland! What a time to be alive 🤣
Alejandro grabbed his briefcase of cash, hopped in his Lambo and headed for an unknown destination. 🤣🤣🤣 Don't ever stop Alejandro. We love the ongoing SuperSega saga. I do hope people are trying to get their money back though.

@@VideoGameEsoterica Well, we all know he was an entertainer and magician, so perhaps the show will go on. But as this is clearly a scam, he’s already achieved his goal. I may have only been making this specific comment on Madlittlepixel's channel videos about this, but I've been saying it's fake the moment it showed off a side-by-side top-loaded cartridge design in its mockups rather than front-to-back like Hyperkin did with RetroN5 and such. There are likely circuitry convenience reasons Hyperkin and others did it that way, as well as keeping the form factor smaller to keep manufacturing costs lower. It was obvious from the giddyup to anyone not wearing nostalgia goggles that this guy or anyone on his "team" didn't know a thing about designing a proper console for actual release.
