Thx for the video. Can you explain why retail would buy up VET if we won’t be using the supply chain? Theoretically we buy BTC to store value against inflation (and transact vis Lightning) and ETH to pay gas to participate in dapps. Is VET just a speculative coin like stocks or is there some sort of participatory network for holders?

Why would we not be using the supply chain? We will always be buying and selling Globally. When a customer uses VeChains service, they have to buy the VET Token.. I did a video on it, if you want to check my play list

Simply means "adoption" the idea may be there but perhaps companies are still not confident in using it...just yet.
Very good explanation. If v chain is a bit centralised, if it is used only by big companies, if the bolckchain itself chooses the nodes to varify the next block, ---then why on earth a normal person will be interested in v chain other than earn a quick profits?
companies who want to use vechain will need to hold a lot of the tokens in order to collect vethor gas. This will restrict its limited supply of 86billion and if you are a token holder it is like owning a share of this vechain system. You will also receive gas which you can sell as passive income to the businesses or you can sell for profit. Its like buying a stock with dividends. Lots of normal people will be interested in this opportunity
it will provide easy access to small businesses and locations with limited access to local databases. Small business and suppliers can connect with global retail chains on the open blockchain
I wanted to buy about $500 of VET back when it was still $0.002, but gave up due to the difficulty of getting onto an exchange where I could legally buy it (thanks Texas). Major regrets.

So I don’t understand how, for example, the way pharmaceutical product can be tracked to its end user, knowing it was opened at, and not before its destination. What mechanism would notify the chain of the bottle being open/tampered with?
My guess would be the consumer. Or it would stop at whomever found out it's been tampered with. From there it's all a matter of chain of custody 🤔

Is there any benefit for poor investor or vechain user to buy vet instead of vtho? I know we can get vtho by staking vet but the reward is very small. we can buy vtho easily from exchange since its price still cheap (and it can be set always cheap by setting the amount of reward). So is there any use case for anyone who has some vet (not enough for governance purpose)…?

I would like to ask you, is this means that the VET coin is the one that authenticates stuff like LV bags or a BMW unit?
Why wouldn't a company use a feeless, instant, and scalable solution like Nano or Iota? Or a near feeless solution like XRP or XLM?
Why would a company set up validators/miners for their own personal blockchain? Why would a company pay fees to use their own blockchain? It doesn't make sense. The whole point of blockchain is to be decentralized, not just distributed. If it's not decentralized then you might as well just use a regular database.

VChain surprisingly does not solve that. That will be the real invention. I’m not comfy that it’s too centralized too. But knowing how greedy corps are, I’ll hedge some funds on Vet, but I won’t bet too much on it.
VeChains biggest partner is DNV GL. The problem of garbage in garbage out is very real, but is mitigated through Audits done by DNV GL on the companies that are using the vechain blockchain.
Vet will eventually be over $1 get in while you can
