      And vice versa. For example, let's just achieve hitting one note. If you place your finger on the correct fret position, and make contact with the correct string. WA LA...simple enough, you have hit the correct note. On the trumpet....if you push the correct valve down on the trumpet...and buzz your lips (if you can) you still have a multitude of other systems of the body that must integrate together in order to HOPE.. you have hit the correct note. For example: efficient vibration with zero air escaping for the buzz of the lips, the correct angle of the tongue directing the air leaving your lips and entering the mouth piece, the exact pressure of the mouthpiece on the lips, regulating the volume of air leaving your lips, adjusting the buccinator muscle for the proper tightness or looseness of the lips for that particular note pitch, If I am playing an overture, jazz, or whatever....every single note requires all of those adjustments instantaneously. There is much much more...and I am sure there is much more to hit the correct pitch with your instrument. However, our sound is originating from control of the air WITHIN.. our body. Our note begins internally...your note is all external. Let's appreciate all instruments....and learn the challenges of all. Then....and only then can we live in harmony of appreciation of all instruments. Your statement was like: "My daddy can beat up your daddy".

    Wait, the trumpet actually sounds so beautiful (although I bet it is in large part due to the acoustics of that room, wowza there is a lot of reverb). In fact all brass instruments sound a lot better than I thought. But the trumpet is actually pretty expressive and has a nice tone. Reminds me of that scene from castle in the sky where he is playing amongst the doves, perched high above a canyon.

    In fifth grade, they had the middle school band people come and show us instruments to try. I went for the trumpet and the guy took one look at my teeth and went, “you won’t be able to play” (i had a big overbite at the time) but I went for it anyway and I was the only one to create a crystal clear sound on the first try. The look on that guys face is what solidified my choice.

    • @ldkmelon

      so silly when people do stuff like that, there is never anything to prevent playing. half the amazing piano players in the world have tiny hands and play better than the 99% big hand players ever wish they could.

    • @brothercuber3288
      @brothercuber3288 Год назад +1

      @ldkmelon I agree. I'm stuck with big hands, which makes playing scales much more awkward. So much so that F# major is easier than C major. Sometimes I wish for smaller hands ngl. Then I play an octave + a fourth and am reminded that having big hands has its own pros as well. Big hands are harder, but smaller hands need to learn extra technique to replicate something like rachmananoff. Then again, that's not hard at all, it's just a normal jump of a couple of octaves yet easier.

They sounded like eddy btw. And at the time I literally thought to my self “they’re better way than me”. Now after I think 7-8 years of playing I still assume that everyone with a trumpet is a thousand times better than me even with being told the opposite. All musicians think they’re worse than they are.

    It would've been a torturous experience for Eddy. He'd have been able to recognize the notes that each of those wet farts hit

    I like how the pro tried to keep a straight face when Eddy play like: "Don't laugh don't laugh don't laugh"

    As a trumpet player in college, I greatly appreciated this! The only piece I didn’t recognize was the very last one. Now maybe some people can start understanding just how difficult playing the trumpet can be, and how much practice it takes to even be halfway decent at it. This made my day! LOL

      Charlie Chen eh since saxophone is the easiest woodwind instrument it shouldn’t be too hard for him.

    Haha lol. No offence but you were asking for that after your video on "why the violin is the hardest instrument". 3rd movement of the Haydn trumpet concerto is so cruel. I've been playing the cornet for several years and my attempts at that are horrendous.

    • @hb712
      @hb712 4 года назад +4

      Untold Truths try it on e flat trumpet. It’s much more intuitive (I believe this is the trumpet he used for the Haydn in the video).

    It would be really funny if (after making a couple more episodes) you made the professionals at their instruments play the violin 😂
    P.S. 1:13 Isn't it Mahler 3rd Symphony 1st movement?
    I might be crazy idk.

    • @Chris_Tofu
      @Chris_Tofu 6 лет назад +8

      1:13 is definitely the beginning trumpet solo of Mahler's 5th, but Mahler's 3rd begins with the horns with a similar sort of brass introduction though! :p
