Great video. I find using a tripod that has independent legs are better than the ones that a joined. Great website you have.

I like using a tripod when I am staying in one place, like a bird hide. If I'm moving around I use a Joby Gorillapod which will attach to various platforms or can be used as a handle. I have never used a bean bag, but I should.

Thanks, very timely. I hate using my tripod also (I mostly do macro photography) and have been on the fence about getting and trying a monopod! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

New subscriber as i just found your channel. I liked the comment you use the monopod for anything larger than an insect.

If using a decent sized lens, you're best clipping the lens onto the tripod or monopod to avoid stressing the lens mount ring on the camera.

Could you exchange the rice for polystyrene beads ??? It would make your bean bag a lot lighter and more portable !!!
