My favorite song to play on my harp! I didn't know that the Brubeck quartet performed it. Oh, how lovely it is! So glad I alighted on this branch tonight.
This song is on the compilation CD "Someday My Prince Will Come" which, erroneously, states ca. 1965. I believe this footage is from 1967 Juan les Pins.
GENIAAL kwartet.
He was beautiful Paul. He looks like a sleepwalker, opening eyes and dreaming ❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶🎶
Desmond joked that sometimes, he'd fall asleep leaning on the piano!

No other piece of music in the world moves me so profoundly!

Un maravilloso "altoista" fue Desmond.
ESTUPENDO BRUBECK Y DESMOND EL MEJOR SAXSO
❤❤❤ meravigliosa,
For a totally different reading of La Paloma Azul by Brubeck et. al., check out their performance in Mexico of the same tune. Equally beautiful.
So smooth. Glad to know what CD I can find it on. Thanks, Geoff.
There's many different versions on album and video [here] so keep lookin'. They're all great. ; )

This is great. Do you know if this material is available for purchase anywhere?
+Luke Charles Not that I am aware of. I got this from a collector.
+Jan Lombardi OK, and thanks for the uploads!
Try Bravo Brubeck, on Columbia, recorded in Mexico. It has a beautiful version of La Paloma Azul.
The video or the music? The LP "Brubeck and Desmond - The Duets 1975" has this track, along with a few other gems.
