I am using my new SQ5 in my recording studio and recording with Industry standard Logic Pro X …
I appreciate your help in explaining the features as this has been a recent new digital mixing console.
These mixers are amazing
1:25 The SQ series actually has 8 (not 4) effects processors. There are dedicated buttons to access the SENDS for 4 of them. You can setup MIX/AUX busses to send to the other 4. There are 8 assignable returns for these.
9:09 The GEQs are 28-band, not 31-band.

How does this compare to the Midas m32? Sound wise and workflow
Soundwise, I think it really depends on how you use it 😅. But in workflow, I personally think SQ-7 has a faster, better workflow. M32 for me is a little complicated when it comes to routing
I know this mixer has 48 mixing channels, can you split channels from the existing XLR inputs on the back? If the vocals are channels 17-24, can I route those inputs to two separate channels sharing only the preamp and gain? That way this board can better be used for FOH and monitors with any EQ and dynamics not effecting the monitors.
Yes, You can route the physical inputs on board channels 17-24 to 17-24 and 32-40 then use the monitor sends on channels 32-40 with their own unique input gain and channel EQ. I don't think there is a way to share input gain between the 2, but from what I think you are trying to do, you wouldn't want to do that anyways. That's a great question, I haven't thought about using it that way.

Turned it off after the first minute where you said the sq5 has 16 faders so it’s 16 channel and sq6 has 24 faders so it’s 24 channels. All 3 mixers have 48 channels. 😅
I think my phone has a larger screen.
I too was at first concerned about what seemed to be a small screen. But I have used this board now for 3 years and I can tell you that the screen size is absolutely not an issue!

I’m sorry but if you’re gonna make a video doing info about a product you should really know the facts and proper information about the product before you make your video. A lot of the details you mentioned within the first couple of minutes are not accurate. Do your research before making videos please.
