Jen this was such a fabulous panel. A huge "thank you" to you all for sharing your stories. It is empowering for others to hear. I have been asked over and over why I would devote so much time, energy and yes.. money into creating the Little House costume collection. My answer is simple. My childhood was riddled with trauma. Little House saved my life. Little House kept me on the right path. Little House is my family on a whole other level.
It’s so neat to see you and Wendi Lou Lee sharing your faith at this event! I teach first grade at a Christian school and have read the Little House series to every one of my 28 classes, and I love sharing a few episodes of the show with them each year, too. They LOVE it all. When I talk to former students, both male and female, reading the Little House books is the memory almost every one of them mentions. It makes my heart so happy!
I have been watching everything related to the Little House 50th Anniversary celebration. This is the BEST result from the show! Thank you all for sharing your life stories.
I thought I was the only 60 year old in the world that still watched Little House on a daily basis as a comfort. I just learned why it was/is so important to me.
You are spot on Pamela. I have wanted this subject discussion for years because at its core.. this is what LHOTP is about. A safe place for those who are open to explore it as a tool healing.
Thankyou so much for posting this Jen and for being so brave to tell your story! I only had a quick interaction with you at the festival but you were so kind to me. New Subscriber!
My survivor story is that when I was five, I had chronic ear infections. My ear, nose, and throat dr wanted to remove my adenoids and put buttons in my ears. He had me pediatrician do all of my pre-op blood work and a chest X-ray. The chest X-ray showed a malignant tumor. I was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. My dad was a Baptist minister and wrote a book called Thank You Lord for infected ears. Because had I not had those ear infections they would not have found the tumor until it was too late. Rev Alden sometimes reminds me of my dad. I was born in 73, diagnosed with cancer when I was five and I am 50 now. Little House was a show me watched as a family. I laughed when my mom would cry in certain episodes, but now when I watch, I cry over the same episodes she cried about.
Jen, I just want to say I loved this panel so much and it resonated with me deeply. I would love to share my story, but it is multifaceted like Jan's. There is too much to share here. I have been following the podcast and the festival and have really been inspired to share my story somehow. I would really like to write a letter to you, Allison, Jan, etc. I don't know where to send it. As a child, I suffered from abuse, was kidnapped, was bullied, and have health issues. I have EDS and am recovering from neck fusion right now. A lot of people with EDS also have Chiari, so I am aware of that. I too have had a lot of healing through watching little house and I did not even know that was a thing. There is more depth to it, but as I said, too much to share here. I am not tech savvy at all and would not even know where to begin. I would love to get my story out there and help people too at some point. Just reaching out because you all inspired me to want to share my experiences to maybe help others. Thanks so much for sharing yours!
Jen, I love that you and a few others (Wendi Lou, Miss Ketty, etc) boldly talked about Jesus at PrairieCon without it even tying to LHOTP. I will admit that I was a bit sad to learn it's not actually Dean we're interacting with on social media, but 5 minutes into this video, I subscribed to your channel because of YOU! I can't wait to learn more about you.❤️
Hi Sara! Thank you so much for your feedback and kindness! ♥️ thank you for being here! Side note: I will say Dean is the one who films most of the content that is posted and he helps with conversations about captions, etc. he’s very involved with this process and loves his fans very much! Hope that helps a little!
I was raised in the UPC. I wasn't allowed to cut my hair, wear pants, jewelry, makeup. The list goes on. I left in 1996. I did what you did and started studying the Bible for myself. I'm so glad that you've been set free from legalism too. Little House is what I grew up on too.
@jenbrallier I love your testimony. The boldness you have to share God and the cross and what Jesus did on that cross. The reason we celebrate this Easter season
I would say you are interacting with Dean, however, he doesn’t have the bandwidth to create the content and respond to everything (it is a full time+ job for many teams in corporations). Especially when there are multiple channels and and a big event he was working on. 😊
Given their character’s history and that blonde wig Alison has, I would LOVE to see Alison Arngrim and Melissa Gilbert do a remake of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?😃 Whether it’s Broadway, a TV movie or a theatrical release, they would be PERFECT for it. AND Alison would now be pushing Melissa in a wheelchair.😂
Marriage and Family and L❤ve Thy neighbour is Gods design and ML made this the foundation of LHOTP. Jesus is Love and is the reason for the season of EASTER.

This panel really validates my feelings about Little House. It is a safe space. It provides hope and healing. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤🏡
Wow what a testimony. I am glad God has freed you from that bondage. Keep shining for Jesus 😊.
God is good!!
Yes healing power because it is very faith based in its messaging and hopefully helping leading people to Christ too.
I thought I was the only 60 year old in the world that still watched Little House on a daily basis as a comfort. I just learned why it was/is so important to me.
I'll will be 62 this year and still watch LHOTP over and over and still watching it. Here I also thought I was the only one too. 😂😅
Still watch.
Thnx, Jen...GREAT panel...💜 I'm 65 and I still watch #LHOTP. Enjoy all the other #LHOTP50 events this year...🏡

As a csa survivor, thank you for this. Yes little house was a heaven sent space as a child and an adult for me as well.

24:57 Alison is the real life version of Charles Ingalls punching someone's lights out.❤
Also when we got shut down for that 2020 period its was Little House and the Waltons were my mainstays.
Same here

I didn't catch the name of the podcast Alison was on? (Roper?) Thank you so much!
Not sure which one you’re talking about but she did an episode on Jan Broberg’s podcast and also check out the Little House 50 Podcast!! ♥️
@jenbrallier that must be it, I couldn't get the name the other lady was saying, thanks!
