- Someone asked me last week; “So easy to make this on Elektron right?”… My answer was that I think “easy” is a subjective opinion and nothing comes easy, achievement always requires work and devotion. And if any other workflow is better, I don’t know. I’ve found this to be the most creative way for me right now.
In the last two years I have roughly devoted about 1000 hours into learning and creating music with these machines. Before that I spent over 12 years creating music with different DAWs. I’ve also spent a massive amount of hours collecting samples, reading and watching videos about music production. I’ve learned so much, but still I feel I’m only scratching the surface. I don’t consider myself a pro or expert, I’m just a happy user.
It has never been easy. What has been easy, is putting in the time, as I’ve done it out of joy. When something is fun and you feel you are somehow progressing, it’s easier to find time to devote to your passion.
Stay safe out there, and be creative 😊

Bro....super❤❤❤
We need to see a tutorial bro......!!!!!!!!!
Thank you 😊 We’ll se if that’s possible. Tutorials isn’t my strongest skill though.
There are plenty of tutorials on RUclips. To me, this is not what this channel is about. Just listen and enjoy! Cheers, ;)
Thanks for the reply. I understand that this channel is about grooves....
It's quite hard not to listen to music like this and not ask questions.....
But I take your point......
I don't think there are many dub techno channels with this consistent level of music production.....
Music is to be enjoyed......and that's what get from this man's channel....
Always peace and love...
👍👍👍👍👍

Very enjoyable, thank you! I also appreciate the profound video descriptions accompanying the audio & video content 🙏🏽
Thank you 😊🙏🏼 I have an idea to share something more than my music. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Take care
You never cease to amaze ❤
Thank you for listening 😊🙏🏼 I’m glad you enjoyed it. Take care
This is pure awesomeness! Thanks allot for this video.
Thank you for listening 😊🙏🏼 Have great week
Just lovely but the ads in the middle massacre the vibe.
Thank you 😊 the ads is a bummer, it’s the price we pay for the free services. It will be released on all streaming platforms later this year when mastered and compiled into a release. Have a great weekend
these synths are so warm, and all the echo/reverb makes this into an immersive swimming experience 👏 despite the video description, you make this look easy 😊 impressive work, i hope to continue hearing your creations for a good long while to come
Thank you 😊🙏🏼 I’ve put a substantial amount of time into trying to get a more analog feel to it. And the RNLA and DECO does a great job.
In my experience great simplicity is the most hard thing to achieve 😊
Gorgeous track ✨🕺✨💃✨✨🕺✨💃
I’m glad you liked it 😊🙏🏼 have a great week
It's sounds wonderful!
Thank you for listening 😊🙏🏼
👍👍👍

Excellent indeed, Gustav🙃
Thank you 😊🙏🏼 this is also the last track on my latest album.

Beautiful! I admire your skills and setup. I am in the path of making and learning dub techno with dawless and It’s enjoyable to see your performances. If it doesn’t require too much work to write, what is the routing of all your setup? Cheers!
Thank you 😊🙏🏼 my current setup is like this:
The Mackie 1402VLZ4 has 4 stereo channels. So on two of them I have Digitakt and Digitone. Then on the aux send 1 I have the El Cap and Helix daisy chained, and on aux send 2 I have the Blackhole. Then I route them back to 2 stereo channels so I can EQ the returns. Then I can blend the pedal effects on all the channels I want.
The Model:Cycles I have split left and right into two mono channels. Kick and bass in one and hat and snare on the other. So both of them are mono. Then Model:Sample have 2 mono channels paned to achieve stereo and I use Model:Sample for drone’s and effects.
Digitakt is the master clock and it controls all the 6 tracks on the Model:Cycles and 2 on the Model:Sample. Midi goes from Digitakt > Digitone > Model:Cycles > Elektron Model:Sample.
And on the master bus I have first the DECO for saturation and then RNLA for compression and finally everything goes into U-Phoria UMC202HD to my headphones and into an iPad for recording.
@@GustavSandstedt thank you so much for your routing description! Dope setup! I was thinking to take a look the Deco pedal for giving that stereo and beefy color, is this pedal adding essential tone to your tracks?
Best!!
The alternative would be the analog heat or OTO baum, but the RNLA and DECO was a more cheaper option. Yes the DECO has many options but I only use the saturation to beaf it up, I think it makes everything better by just running it through it. I watched a lot of reviews before, I can recommend that. Now there’s I V2 so the V1 may be cheaper to get.
@@GustavSandstedt Thank you! Also checking analog heat mk2 second hand. By now I am using Saturn 2 and Bleass Saturator in ipad. Did you try them?
Cheers!
@Monomunn no I haven’t tried those l, I used REAMP from Klevgr before, they have som really nice iPad apps. On the iPad I know mainly have an EQ, widener, limiter and an analyzer
How do you sidechain? :)
I actually don’t sidechain, if you mean with the kick making stuff duck it. Some sidechaining can be achieved with the Elektron LFO but I don’t use it so much. I could also route the RNLA for an analog compression sidechain. I’ve considered buying a second compressor RNC to do this through the alt out on the mixer.
@@GustavSandstedt cheers!

Thanks 😊
Love your sharing of music here. I admire the time and focus you have put in. So many of us get caught up in the gear and don't learn what we have well. So your channel is inspiring. Thanks
Thank you 😊🙏🏼 I’m glad you enjoyed it and I’m grateful to be able to inspire someone else. And it’s comments like this that motivates me to keep sharing both my music and thoughts. Thank you again and have a wonderful weekend when it arrives. Take care
