I love Ricky. He won’t play their game, that’s what’s considered his sin. We should be very thankful that he’s not going to be quietened. And Seona Dancing’s “Bitter Heart” is PHENOMENAL!

I never knew the initial viewing figures for The Office were so low! I used to read Charlie Brooker's (yes him!) TV review in the Guardian and just remember him saying something like "you HAVE to watch this, it is like nothing else" so I did with my housemates. We were speechless in awe at first, then just loved it and couldn't wait for the next episode!
You have to watch UK Office. It's challenging - the humour is very unique, it will have you cringing continually, but it's a masterpiece. The David Brent character invented by Ricky is outstanding. There's also a spin off called David Brent on the road, where Brent gets a band together and does a tour of small pubs etc. It's so clever, reminiscent of Spinal Tap at a much lower level where Brent has to pay the musicians to do the tour. Full of cringe. Don't watch the US Office first because that's a whole different animal - watered down, family friendly, mainstream in comparison.
That's the best description of him. He was that mistake! 🎉😂 He's a blue collored man launched into the richest people in the world. And he understands how hypocritical those filthy rich are.
I am from Reading and went to the same school at Ricky (Ashmead) He was a few years older than me. I was reminded he did a school assembly as the band. I remember the Assembly but at the time I did not know Ricky so no comprehension of who it was on stage. I suspect not many people have seen his band perform. Love that he is proud of his background (living on Northumberland Avenue) and constantly references his home town in his work.
UK Office is superb, subtle, cringe comedy at it's finest. USA Office is a different animal, very funny, lots of heart, much bigger... great show in its own right.
I spent most of my younger adult years not getting his humour and therefore not really liking Ricky much. But when I stopped drinking long enough I realised how funny he actually is... legend..
When I fist watched "The Office" I thoght it was a documentary. I remember shouting to my girlfriend "Come and look at this idiot" or words to that effect. 🤣. We both worked in the same environment, and it's very real...
One thing you boys really should watch is Ricky's two appearances on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, the greatest late night talk show ever. Bold but true statement. Watch and see!😉👍🍺🥃🍺🥃
You guys reviewing Ricky's 2020 golden globes was the first video of your's that i saw, i remember you got alot of views, it's been nice to see your channel go from strength to strength
The fact that during The Office creation he wasn’t famous and he was willing to walk away from the show because of the interference from the BBC talks of his character. Always been a huge fan of Ricky’s
I love Ricky Gervais. The Ricky Gervais Show, Afterlife, Derek, all his stand-up, his great interviews and his presenting. But… I think that the US Office is better than the UK one. Sue me.
The video didn’t give enough credit to his time at XFM where they actually met Karl Pilkington by chance as their producer because their time there LIVE on air is what even allowed the podcast to be made
I've not watched the US Office, but I've heard it's much below the UK version. So yeah, you have to do the UK Office and give us your comparison to the US Office. The UK Office is brilliant, and it took me a long time to decide whether it was a documentary or a comedy sketch.
He is genuine and relatable, no BS, average Brit who has the balls to say what we might think but don’t like to admit or wouldn’t dare say. Even his most offensive jokes, it’s what a lot of us think, especially people his age, pair all that with the fact that he is hilarious, wrote one of the best sitcoms ever and very successful stand-up tours, then had a stroke of luck with meeting Karl, getting the sky deal etc. But he’s become a casualty of the woke movement, also his last stand-up wasn’t so good. The way he exposed Hollywood too, representing the average person amongst those who are so out of touch and hypocritical.
I love Ricky so much, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch the office because of the cringe factor, I had to watch the bloopers and remind myself he wrote it, those people love him. The David Brent movie made me want to grab him and hug him to pieces, and the end made me cry like a tired child 🙈 what a roller-coaster 😊❤❤❤.
Years Before the RG show was on TV it was available on podcast download. Before the days of video podcasts. Them days I'd get the train to uni, I either had the Nokia N95 or the Google G1, and would look insane laughing out loud , (before LOL was a thing), on the train sat on my own. it was far funnier as a pod cast than a cartoon. Amazing it was.
you haven't seen the Office (US)??? 😮 i don't mean to be rude, but are you currently under a rock, and not getting any laughs! Also Superstore, is like my fav comedy-drama, full stop. check em out guys, for your own sake...and if you aint seen Extras or Lifes too short, again, you're missing out.
I bloody love people just do nothing. That’s a great series to check out. It’s filmed like the office only it’s about a group of friends in London, who have a pirate radio station and think they’re amazing rappers and dj’s. It’s painfully cringe but hilarious. 😂

Actually you should absolutely react to extras, if you've already done it, shame on me. Even better react to the bloopers of extras and the office, listening to his laugh is good for the soul, and him and Graham Norton together is beautiful 🎉🎉🎉❤.
I think in a few years Hollywood will change and remember differently how they were corrected by Ricky Gervais and then they’ll thank him. Because they were heading for oblivion and now there’s hope.
When it comes to "the Office" you can't watch both. If your from the States pick the US one , if from anywhere else pick the UK one. they do exactly the same gags.
