I lived in Gallipolis my whole life and for some reason never knew about the fishing platform at the dam. I wanna take a day there now! I don't fish much, I am honestly more interested in checking out the dam and rollers, but I will bring my tackle with me of course.
This dam is about 20 minutes from my house never fished for striper before just catshish and small mouth/large mouth mostly. gonna have to give it a shot
Where you actually casting clear out past the first lock and if so what’s the setup, I was there yesterday with 15 pound braid and could only get around 3 foot from the first ledge
And it the water coming over 8th roller is like it was in video. Them hybrids will be up under that water coming over top. And if you float a float up there you will hook up.

It's a blast fishing there. Usually pretty packed. Combat fishing at times, but most of the people are pretty laid back.

Hoping for some good weather so that I might be able to catch a fish.
Put a mooneye or shad or skipjack under a float and watch what happens
I've got some agitation floats coming in the mail
