the first time I found this video I didn't watch it all the way (mainly because 6 minutes was too long for my overstimulated brain) but I still added it to my Spotify playlist (and regretted it at first, thinking it would be a skip) but then I really listened to it all the way on my way to uni and was immediately obsessed. so here I am back again :)
It takes everything I hate about modern pop music and ratfucks it into a masterpiece. I can't say enough good things about this duo. Its easy to be 'weird' for weird's sake. But to be wildly accessible and bizarre at the same time...Its nothing like Joni Mitchell or Steely Dan, but it does that same trojan horse thing of sneaking in the exotic with a familiar skein
i've loved this band for so long, so glad such a great label is putting out this record
