I know this is kinda late,but I would never do business with a dealership that won't bother checking a car with a check engine light on.That tells you they're too cheap to make sure the car is good.I wonder how many other problems this van has they're not telling you about.

Rented one of these to go to DC, it had the 4.2L. I hate minivans but this one wasn't too bad...
The 4.2L is a pretty good engine! Our 2000 F150 has the 4.2L with 231,000 miles, and it still runs good.
Does the Freestar use the same 4.2 in your F-150?

Nice big engine although the 3.8 litre v6 in the Windstar has a better sound
I like the 3.9L better, but I agree that the 3.8L sounds better.
