I’m watching a rerun of this case on TV today. It is riveting! I loved when the judge told dad that she’s having the conversation with his daughter that he should have had.
However, imo, production discretion should have been exercised NOT to air it. This case involves juveniles and privacy issues on both sides: drug addiction and hidden sexual orientation. The privacy interest of these juveniles outweighs the educational interest the public has in watching such issues play out. I understand the parents signed their consent for their children’s case to be heard on People’s Court. However, I assume the producers do not air all cases but only the most interesting ones.
Also, this case contains elements of juvenile delinquency. Juvenile court usually is private, not open to the public. These kids technically may have exposed themselves to juvenile court jurisdiction back home by discussing their behavior on TV unless the Cumberland County authorities already had resolved those issues or otherwise decided whether to petition their juvenile court.

The driver was impaired and they flipped their car 8 times going down the highway at 75 mph. Cory was ejected on the first roll. They took 2 1/2 months to intubate him and he sat in a coma for about 45 days. Cory now has to learn to live with seizures. This sweet faced bully deserves consequences. The Mother should sue them for pain and suffering. The dad is still not holding his daughter accountable. Good luck with that. The evil little thing will only get worse. She was lucky that she lived. Next time she might not be so lucky. I feel terrible for the son.

Well if he hadn't told his friend that there was a bottle of pills..then she wouldn't have known about the pills to ask for them to begin with

This isn't about roads, this is about roads and drinking will take you on a road that leads to a dead end.

LOL. I knew something felt off. Read the credits at the end as they whiz at Mach speed. These are reenactments with actors (although it says when necessary). What a joke.
So this young man (100% actor) didn't want to be outed as gay so he goes on national TV? LOL
And can the Plaintiff duo over-act any more than they were? (at least get better actors)
Marilyn doesn't want justice as much as she wants ratings and money.
Just knock this crap off already. Nothing is real anymore.
    This show officially sucks LOL

It’s obvious that the daughter gets her attitude, and warped way of thinking.Child services needs to intervene, and get mandatory counseling for both father , and daughter.

The daughter may end up dead if she keeps doing this and her father still won't get it in his head that she has a problem

It's very sad. But, it is also very true.
We live in a world where people LITERALLY kill people because they do not the person being "different" from them.
