Come back fellas! Whatever I did to run you off....Ill stop! Seriously, I really miss their videos. The Guild helped me along with my journey into bourbon as a hobby.
Recently I was laid up after surgery and had difficulty sleeping. I found myself binge watching some of your reviews. They were very entertaining and got me through some rough times. The way your personalities play off each other was fun, and, I find myself looking more thoughtfully at the bourbon I drink. Thanks to you all. Many kudos. You guys are great!
I don't think "drinkability" should be a category. The hotter the bourbon, the more flavorful it is, and that can be controlled by the Master Distiller. Booker's is an excellent example of that. You should learn which distilling and aging practices will influence how hot/spicy/flavorful a bourbon can be. A whiskey should not be penalized for being exactly how the MD wants it to be. Take Scotch for example, anything aged in European oak will be hotter/more flavorful than something aged exclusively in American oak. There are other factors besides the type of wood, that can effect this. That being said, I love your energy, you seem like fun people to share whiskey with. 🙂
I'm a Scotch and Bourbon sipper, have been for 40 years.I spend my money on Lagavulin and Macallan for the very reason Ben stated: You can get great bourbon for a great price in this country. Beam DC at 100 proof is fine sipping whisky(if the White Label was bottled at 90/95 proof it would be almost as good imho) so are the ones Dutch mentioned. I want a wheater,I buy Makers.I can get it anywhere and I don't pay the desperate hipster mark up.
I really wish you guys would come back. I've gotten so many good leads on bourbons I never knew existed from you guys. I've built my collection based off a lot of your reviews and recommendations.
*cries in North Carolinian* Very difficult to find so many of the bourbons you guys review over here - I generally only see the "run of the mill" stuff in liquor stores. Just know that I don't just watch these because they're entertaining - I am vicariously enjoying these wonderful bourbons through you. Great video as always fellas.
I enjoyed this review very much. My first bourbon was Jim Beam white label. Makes me want to pick up a bottle and revisit that flavor profile that started my own bourbon journey.
THEMHGIII it’s very much worth picking up. Its the best in the regular Jim Beam lineup in my opinion. Nothing overly complex but it doesn’t have to be.
Jim Beam is the first hard liquor I ever tried. This girl I knew had parents that owned a liquor store and she’d always have Jim Beam pints that she “borrowed” from the store. I was like 14 when this went on and I didn’t drink Jim Beam ever again until I bought Jim Beam Black in the airplane bottles 17 years later and after I took a drink I the most extreme nostalgia I’ve ever felt. Lol
Found your page a few days ago and had to subscribe! I really enjoy how you go about discussing bourbon in detail without being pretentious. It's fun to see ya'll differ in opinion, sometimes dramatically, as everyone's palate is different. I'll definitely continue to watch as I continue to learn about and taste new stuff. If I could ask one thing, why put so much weight on uniqueness? On the surface I would think that point would be better served in the drinkability category. Thanks for the videos guys
7.125 is a about the right score. If you put a drop of water in it, because it's non-chill filtered, the flavor and smells gets turned up a little. At least that 1st sip following the water. BLIND CHALLENGE! Excellent video gentlemen.
Palettes are all different because I can not abide Jim Beam products. I drank a lot of white label when I was young so that’s probably it. I much prefer Wild Turkey, Heaven Hill, and Four Roses. But hey maybe it’s time to revisit. I do like Ild Grand Dad but that’s really a separate product with different yeast and mashbill. I didn’t care for Old Tub either
Here in Oklahoma City I have never seen the box for the bottle, only bottles on the shelf. I REALLY enjoy this and the Repeal Batch but it's getting more and more difficult to find in the OKC area(as of now). Repeal Batch is plentiful but Distiller's Cut....getting hard to find. I bought 6 bottles and have 5 saved for later dates...goes great with Cuban cigars. Distiller's Cut totally represents Jim Beam and they should make DC ( &Repeal Batch) a regular-everyday product. This IS what bourbon is all about!!! Totally agree with Ben and Dillon's review....me- I would have given it a 9.0 score. Great Review...and Cheers from Oklahoma.
Absolutely yes for the blind flight! I want to see this against WT101, Baker's 107, maker's cask strength, Weller Antique 107, Evan Williams BiB...etc The obvious comparison for the price point is WT101, though.
I got a bottle and enjoyed a glass with you fellas. today I have come to a firm conclusion I will never base the “worth” of a bourbon off the price!!! I let this open up for 30min and it was truly a fantastic sipper for $22 ..... I mean come on!! (Ps. Also a big fan boy of J.B. Ben )
Excellent review gentlemen, never seen this rendition of Jim Beam but it sounds like it's worth a try. My recommendation to test the metal of Distiller's Cut is to put them head to head in a blind challenge against something like E.H. Taylor Small Batch and Old Forester BiB. Cheers to the best bourbon!
I think for everything you are getting for the money this is a great little bottle. You are getting a 100 proof, non chill filtered, age stated bourbon for like $17-$19. I would group this with EW BiB and Old Grandad BiB in the value department.
Honestly Ben said it best if you can’t appreciate a great value “cheap” bourbon how can you appreciate an expensive/hard to find bourbon. Shoutout to Ben and Dillon for defending the bottom shelf hidden gems!
Alex Etoian Agree. I’m budget constrained and the other two guys are snobby in their approach to Everyman affordable bourbons. Kudos to Dillon and Ben.
Another great job on another great bourbon! Really Jules... 5.0??. I agree that 8.0 it too high but 5.0 is RIDICULOUSLY low. I always have this one in my stock. Keep up the good work guys. I still love you Jules... for the most part. ;-)
If you guys actually do a head-to-head blind taste test of this with a more expensive bourbon, I'd reallllllly like to see you doing it now knowing what 2 bourbons were poured!
That's a cool idea for an episode or two... flights of bottles they've rated highly, or poorly, or very differently across the panel, to see how the opinions hold up blind. That would be fun.
Bought a bottle today to try based on this awesome review. I agree with you all that the aroma is the weakest component of this bourbon. I’m not getting much at all. But I am getting a great complexity, this is ridiculously drinkable and a great value. I actually disagree that is it a good blind challenge contender because it has a really unique Beam profile.
I'd love to see a blind tasting against some higher end stuff, this is good bourbon. I can't think of anything that comes close in bang for the buck and I know for a fact it will beat many with a higher price point in a blind test.
I found a bottle locally which was marked down from 24.95 to 14.95....It's pretty tasty and a bargain at that...Good straight and also if you would like something refreshing...perhaps with Coke or Ginger...and Ice...
Am I the only one who continues to check back with the channel in hopes of a revival?
Why did they stop?
They never said

The Bourbon Guild is officially dissolved as of about 2 months ago. Don't know what happened. Check out the message on their Community page.
Pleaaaaaseeeee come back!!! I miss ya’lls vids- try old forester orange label 100 proof
I bought this on a hunch over a year ago and loved it at first sip. Spent the last 12 months trying to fill a case box for bunkering.
We need the guild

What happened to these guys??
Where did you guys go? I subscribe to the channel and you immediately go awol!
I love you guys. You actually enjoy each others company. Your reviews are also informative. Great show. I wish i could be part of a group like this.
Just discovered your channel. Guys, do more videos! Your chemistry and honesty really make the channel.
I really wish you guys would come back. I've gotten so many good leads on bourbons I never knew existed from you guys. I've built my collection based off a lot of your reviews and recommendations.
You guys should do a blind taste test between Blanton's and Acient Acient Age 10 Star. They are both the same mashbill and everything. Great job.
Where are you guys?
*cries in North Carolinian*
Very difficult to find so many of the bourbons you guys review over here - I generally only see the "run of the mill" stuff in liquor stores. Just know that I don't just watch these because they're entertaining - I am vicariously enjoying these wonderful bourbons through you.
Great video as always fellas.
We need the guild back. Most entertaining reviews in the game
Bring back the guild!

Austin Garcia
These guys are great man you will love the reviews and have a tun of fun watching them all
where are you guys? Are you o/o the bourbon review business?
Cliff
Yeah. They made a post a while ago saying they will not be posting anymore videos. Sucks because I used to love watching their video every Friday.
Awesome review!
7.125 is a about the right score. If you put a drop of water in it, because it's non-chill filtered, the flavor and smells gets turned up a little. At least that 1st sip following the water.
BLIND CHALLENGE!
Excellent video gentlemen.
I let it open up for about 30min and it was fantastic, no water needed (not that there is anything wrong with water).
Palettes are all different because I can not abide Jim Beam products. I drank a lot of white label when I was young so that’s probably it. I much prefer Wild Turkey, Heaven Hill, and Four Roses. Great Review...and Cheers from Oklahoma.
Chili pepper heat. Not complex. Ice and water would help...but I'm not that guy. Long burn. No middle notes. Great with cigars.
What happened guys? You run out of whiskey's to review? 10 months since last video upload.
You guys really need to do Knob Creek single barrel!
Great review guys
When is the next episode ?
We need more videos!!! During this working at home crazy time I hope y'all are well and hope to see some videos !! :) Cheers
It's extremely sad that this is you all's last video 😢.
How do you know it’s their last?
My favorite of the Jim Beam line. Very good bourbon! and for the price....WINNER!
Great review, such a shame this was your last video.
How do you know it’s their last video?
They posted in the Community tab about it
Blind Challenge!!!!! PLZ
Absolutely yes for the blind flight! I want to see this against WT101, Baker's 107, maker's cask strength, Weller Antique 107, Evan Williams BiB...etc The obvious comparison for the price point is WT101, though.
Are you guys going to be making any new videos soon? Love this channel
Love the reviews guys I would love to see you do Russell’s reserve single barrel one of my personal favorites!!!!
Did you guys quit??? Its been 3 months since last video!
Hello? Did Covid-19 take out the guild?
Why no reviews lately? Looks like the last one was 6 months ago
For anyone wondering they have a new channel called Curiosity Public and they are actively posting on there!
Blind challenge please!!!
Jules - Thanks!!!
Guys...get Knob Creek and Distillers Cut...have them poured blind. Both Beam products but at different price points. Fight it out...
DarkMeatChicken please

Yo what’s going on fellas? Y’all still rocking?
Check their community panel, they disbanded. New channel is called Curiosity Public :)
@@skartimus Do you know what happened to Ben then?
Fun stuff.
Guys, can you all review the new four roses? Small batch select. It’s wonderful!
You guys need to do a blind review
Once again thank you Jules for being the only thing stopping a decent bourbon from getting legendary status.
m.ruclips.net/video/Y1pZE07vSfI/видео.html lol
I got a bottle and enjoyed a glass with you fellas. today I have come to a firm conclusion
I will never base the “worth” of a bourbon off the price!!!

These are great videos and I am a Jim Beam guy. I’ll be picking up a bottle. Thanks!

Alex Etoian I agree Ben and Dillon did this bourbon justice. It’s a great pour for the price! Cheers! 🥃
Alex Etoian Agree. I’m budget constrained and the other two guys are snobby in their approach to Everyman affordable bourbons. Kudos to Dillon and Ben.
You guys still friends?
When will we get a Peerless Bourbon review? It would be awesome to hear what you guys have to say about the new release!
Another great job on another great bourbon! Really Jules... 5.0??. I agree that 8.0 it too high but 5.0 is RIDICULOUSLY low. I always have this one in my stock. Keep up the good work guys. I still love you Jules... for the most part. ;-)
Dig the clerks shirt. I was an extra on clerks 2 and Kevin rules.
So what happened to these guys?
Another fine review fellas! I’m in the camp of Ben and Dillon. Great pour for the price. I still have a full bottle and will pickup another.Cheers!🥃👍
This episode is an instant classic
If you guys actually do a head-to-head blind taste test of this with a more expensive bourbon, I'd reallllllly like to see you doing it now knowing what 2 bourbons were poured!
I miss new content from this channel more than anything else youtube has to offer. Maybe one day, months or years down the line...
Loved the double down on the video poker barb.
You guys OK? Nothing for a year. Just checking in to see if all is well.
Put this in a blind flight with others you disagree on, or with all the ones Dutch named, to see if you would put it that low.
That's a cool idea for an episode or two... flights of bottles they've rated highly, or poorly, or very differently across the panel, to see how the opinions hold up blind. That would be fun.
WTF = was there an Alien Abduction that swept you 4 guys Up, Up and Away?? Hope to see you back soon!
Those scores... finally all is right in the world!
This is a fantastic Bourbon for $20 ! To me it can compete with others in the $30-$40 range.
I'd love to see a blind tasting against some higher end stuff, this is good bourbon. I can't think of anything that comes close in bang for the buck and I know for a fact it will beat many with a higher price point in a blind test.
lol
I come for the reviews. I stay for the friendship, quips, references, and all-around good times. Always waiting for the next video! FAN BOY ALERT!
I found a bottle locally which was marked down from 24.95 to 14.95....It's pretty tasty and a bargain at that...Good straight and also if you would like something refreshing...perhaps with Coke or Ginger...and Ice...
Ben is right...this reminds me very much of Evan Williams Bottled in Bond....in fact I filled my flask the other day with half and half...
