Tia..... if you still go with "branches" which will look killer. ......... First layer is 5 arm star fish, second layer 4 arm, third layer 3 arm, 2nd layer 2 arms.....each stacking ontop of each other getting shorter arms.... lol artificial Christmas tree
Don't make it one single piece. At least 2 just resting against each other. In the future you can always move them around for a different look. Also easy to take out if need be.
You should make those scrapes to fit in your most commonly sold tank sizes and sell them!

I used to do the same as her do, i use white chalk marker, is so easy to clean from the glass or acrylic.
